Despite the fact that some of his fairy tales are 90 years old, they do not lose their relevance, bringing true joy to children and educating them at the same time. What else is required from a real fairy tale?

Beginning of life

It's no secret who wrote "Fedorino's grief". Author - Korney Chukovsky. He was born back in 1882. Subsequently, in a brief autobiography in 1964, Chukovsky admitted that he did not like being called the oldest writer. However, this is true, because he was lucky to see Alexander Kuprin, Vladimir Korolenko, Alexander Blok and other figures of the Silver Age. Petersburg was Chukovsky's birthplace. His father was a student who left a peasant woman, the writer's mother, with two children. In the city on the Neva, the boy was engaged in self-education, immersed himself in the subtleties of the English language (which was very useful to him,when he worked in London as a correspondent for the Odessa News newspaper).

Returning to Russia, the writer established contacts with people who are now recognized as classics of literature. Chukovsky owns a number of works devoted to the work of Nekrasov (who was his favorite poet), Chekhov, futurists, popular literature. But when did the one who wrote "Fedorino's grief" become interested in literary creativity for children? The author of this tale, at the invitation of Gorky, began working at the Parus publishing house. In charge of the children's department in it, Chukovsky himself thought about writing fairy-tale poetry and prose. Soon the publishing house ceased to exist, and the writer with his "Crocodile" (which had already been created at that time) migrated to the "Niva".

The tale begins with a strange picture: household items are running across the field. A sieve, axes, a broom, cups with irons - all this rushes to no one knows where. The only witness to what is happening is the goat, which looks at what is happening with considerable surprise. This is how "Fedorino's grief" begins. The author then depicts the culprit of the flight of dishes, in fact, the hostess. She asks to return the runaway utensils, but in vain! It is noteworthy that saucers, cups and plates do not respond directly to their owner, but as if addressing the reader, thereby involving him in what is happening.

In the fourth part comes the climax - an explanation of why the dishes behaved in such an ungrateful way. It turns out that the reason for the flight is explained by the fact that the hostess refused to follow her inanimate assistants, clean, scrape them. In a conversation with a chicken, the dishes betray the purpose of everything that happens: since the escape looks rather pointless (in fact, cups and plates do not become cleaner when walking), the utensils want to scare Fedora with an imaginary flight. And she succeeds. The hostess becomes kinder, ready to remove the filthy cockroaches, and the dishes decide to return to their owner.

Ideological content

This is how “Fedorino's grief” ends. The author of the fairy tale puts into it a deep ideological message, which becomes clear even to children: it is unpleasant to communicate with a sloppy, downtrodden person, he does not inspire confidence. The author's metaphor can be considered in a broader context - the attitude of a person to his heritage, culture. So they even talk about a kind of "Fedora's syndrome", which still occurs today. On the other hand, the reformed heroine becomes a full-fledged member of society: it is not for nothing that only in the final part of the tale her patronymic is mentioned - Egorovna. Here is the usual fairy tale "Fedorino's grief"! The author teaches young readers to be neat and tidy. Otherwise there will be trouble.

Further biography of Chukovsky

The writer for a long time did not leave the children's theme mastered by him. Having written such masterpieces as "Moydodyr" and "Fedorino's grief", the author created his famous book "From two to five", where he consideredspeech features of small and very small people. As a linguist, Chukovsky also showed himself in the essay “Alive as Life”, where he criticized the processes that took place with the Russian language. The writer was especially resented by the so-called clerk, who in Soviet times penetrated from the official business style assigned to him into other areas of people's communication.
