Many of us like to pass an hour or two in front of the screen during the evening while watching TV series. Unfortunately, most multi-series projects are a product that is suitable only for those who do not mind wasting time. So that you do not have to be upset again, we have prepared a list of the worst TV shows that received low ratings from critics and the audience.

American Housewife

It's hard to imagine that in the era of the rapid development of television, a series can appear on the screens, the authors of which take their own creation so lightly. The script for one of the worst shows of recent years, American Housewife, is pretty good at its core. However, its implementation by directors leaves much to be desired.

Be that as it may, it is still worth saying thanks to the popular ABC channel for tryingrelease a noteworthy comedy film about an overweight girl who is absolutely not ashamed of her own flaw. If we talk about what happened as a result, according to many viewers, something terrible happened. Not the best reviews can also be heard from critics.

On the Edge

Pretty fresh comedy series from HBO turned out to be a real failure. This primitive humorous film with a political context seems to be deliberately trying to return to the last century, when television was replete with a whole mass of low-grade projects. The only thing that can attract the attention of the viewer to this product is the desire to see how the actors overact on the screen. It's no wonder why On the Edge ranks as one of the worst TV series.

Carmelita

The series "Carmelita" is a frankly failed attempt by domestic filmmakers to revive the viewer's interest in gypsy stories that were popular in Soviet times. Unfortunately, the authors of the multi-part project did not even manage to come close to the success of the magnificent film "Gypsy", which had the status of a real hit in the USSR. Obviously, the producers of the series "Carmelita" were not motivated by anything other than the desire to capitalize on the feeling of nostalgia for the domestic audience for the old days. However, the result was simply a failure.

Theorists

The series "Theorists" is another unsuccessful attempt to adapt the Western project to the reality surrounding the inhabitants of domestic latitudes. Hereonly this time it was not the Russian filmmakers who got into trouble. In this case, the Belarusian TV people made a mistake. Unlike the prototypes, the heroes of the original Big Bang Theory series, the characters of the Theorists project are not employees of a university laboratory, but live in a hostel for nuclear scientists. It is here, according to the idea of the directors, that young and inexperienced scientists are settled, who are entrusted with the responsible task of launching the nuclear power unit.

Given the somewhat absurdity of the above idea, it is easy to guess why the first season of the project never received a continuation. The failed adaptation of the original allowed "The Theorists" to settle down in the list of the worst series for a long time.

Legends of Tomorrow

Reviewing the worst TV series, you can not pass by such a fairly fresh creation of DC as "Legends of Tomorrow". In fact, the project was initially doomed to failure. After all, superheroes, absolutely unknown to a wide audience, appeared on the screen before the audience. Incomprehensible stories, the absurdity of the narrative, the lack of so-called chemistry between the characters - all this played a cruel joke on the authors of the series.

Doctor Tyrsa

Surprisingly, with the adaptation of the scenarios of successful Western projects to our realities, there is a complete disaster among Russian filmmakers. Each such attempt is simply drowning in negative reviews from critics. One of the worst series on domestic television, Doctor Tyrsa, is no exception. It is easy to guess that the plot of the serial tapeborrowed from a Western hit that tells the story of an eccentric, sometimes insane, but brilliant doctor named House.

The performance of Mikhail Porechenkov, who was chosen for the role of Tyrsa, to put it mildly, does not reach the level demonstrated by the famous British comedian Hugh Laurie in the original series. As the feedback from the audience shows, some of them were not able to finish the first episode while getting acquainted with the Doctor Tyrsa project.

The X-Files

When reviving The X-Files television series, the producers of the popular FOX channel probably dreamed of a return of real hype from the audience. Unfortunately, the main characters of the once successful franchise, the famous agents Mulder and Scully, are far from the same. In addition, the plot of many episodes in the restart of the project looks frankly delusional, and at some points it resembles a bad comedy and even a farce.
