Liliya Kim is a woman who today can be safely attributed to one of the most successful contemporary writers in Russia. In addition to the fact that she systematically publishes her new books, Kim is also a screenwriter who works on many projects, including on Channel One. She wrote scripts for some series successfully shown on television. Among them are "Cream", "Mom will be against it", "Money" and "Attempt at Faith".

Lily Kim's husband is also a well-known Russian author and psychotherapist Andrey Kurpatov.

Kim's short biography

This girl was born in St. Petersburg. Lilia Kim was born in May 1979. Information about the family of the writer and her early childhood is not publicly available. But in one of her interviews, the girl told how from childhood she was inspired that she should be independent and able to provide for herself. The worst thing that could happen to Lily, according to her relatives, was that she would grow up and not be able to earn her own living. Such a setting is almostbroke the whole future life of this bright and non-trivial writer.

Wrong way chosen and suicide attempt

Being a creative person and, apparently, endowed with writing talent from birth, Lilia Kim dreamed of entering the Faculty of Philology. But the fear that the creative profession would not be able to bring her a good income, took precedence over dreams and desires. After graduating from school, the girl entered the Togliatti Engineering and Economic Academy. Kim received an economic speci alty, found a profession that promised her a fairly good income. By the way, she graduated from the academy before all her fellow students, having passed the exams externally. After receiving her diploma, which took a lot of effort, Kim did not feel an iota of happiness or satisfaction.

Now the writer herself recalls that at that period of her life she acutely felt some kind of doomed futility of everything that happened to her. Based on the attitudes that were invested in her head by those around her from childhood, she seemed to be doing everything right. But her inner instinct told her that everything that was happening to her was fundamentally wrong. A man who from childhood showed a penchant for literature and good musical abilities, having received an education in economics, went into a blind corner in personal development. Lilia Kim at a fairly young age realized that in her life she had built relationships with people incorrectly and was doing things that she didn’t need at all.

The girl had an acute personality crisis, which is enougha young, talented, vulnerable and inexperienced person could not cope on her own. All this led to the fact that Lily wanted to die. The worst thing happened - she attempted suicide.

A fatal acquaintance with a wonderful doctor

This whole story, which could have ended in really tragic and irreversible consequences, happened on August 19, 1999. Fortunately, Lilya was found and urgently taken to the intensive care unit, and after that she was sent for therapy to the crisis department of the Pavlov neurosis clinic. To consult the patient, she was scheduled to meet with one of the psychotherapists, who turned out to be Andrey Kurpatov.

Dostoevsky Therapy

As Lilia Kim herself now recalls, she fell in love with her psychotherapist-consultant almost immediately. But the girl was well aware that from the outside this story may seem insanely banal. Most patients fall in love with their doctors, and Lilya was very afraid that Andrei would find out about her feelings.

After several sessions of psychotherapy, Andrei Kurpatov prescribed his patient treatment with bibliotherapy, which included reading the works of F. Dostoevsky. It turned out that the doctor is well versed in literature, and Lilia realized that, perhaps, in literary works lies the secret that will help her win the heart of the man she loves.

First piece written

Having been discharged from the hospital, Lilia Alexandrovna Kim was determined to start life anew, and, of course, shereminisced about her passion for literature. The young woman decided that now she would work a limited amount of time so that the earned money would be enough for the most necessary. Kim decided to devote the rest of her free time to what brings her real pleasure.

Andrey gave Lilya his phone number so that after the treatment she could get advice or necessary consultation. She wanted to write something, after reading which Dr. Kurpatov would immediately understand how she sees the world and what kind of person she really is. It was then that Lilia Kim began to write her first independent work called "Bible-Millennium". When the first few stories were ready, the girl called Kurpatov and gave them to him to read. At the same time, about a year and a half has passed since the day she was discharged from the neurological dispensary. The doctor was delighted with what he read, called Lilia back and said that she was a genius.

Decisive move

Circumstances were such that Lilya decided to change her old home and move to the very area where her beloved doctor lived. Andrey knew that the girl lives alone and there is no one to help her with the move. He took the initiative and offered his help. Naturally, Kim did not refuse.

Becoming in a sense neighbors, young people began to see each other much more often: they walked together in bookstores, watched films. And in the end, in 2000, Andrey made a marriage proposal to his beloved, which Kim at that time simply could not refuse.

Like most newlyweds, the Kim-Kurpatovs really wanted to have a baby. But few people know that for almost 3 years after the wedding, Lily could not get pregnant. The reason for this was her diagnosis - diabetes mellitus, which provoked endocrine and hormonal disruptions in the body. Doctors told the couple that they would most likely not be able to have children of their own. Despite such claims, in the end, a miracle happened, and Kim became pregnant.

This period was very difficult, so the woman spent almost the entire time in conservation. At the same time, Andrey was always by her side, supported her morally in the hospital, went with his wife to courses for pregnant women, and even attended the birth of their beautiful daughter, who was named Sophia.

Lilia Kim: "Anya Karenina" and other controversial works

Kim mostly likes to write in series, the first of which was the Millennium Bible. It includes three books:

• "The Fall";
• "They were like children";
• "One soul for two".

In this work, Kim tried to interpret Old Testament stories in her own way. She places iconic biblical characters in contemporary settings.

Another series written by Lily is "Maximus Thunder". It also includes three books. The main character in them is Max Gromov - a young fifteen-year-old genius, the owner of a huge bio-corporation. The stories of this series are a mixture of some philosophy, mysticism,esoteric and talk about the approaching apocalypse.

But the most discussed of all Kim's works was the book "Anya Karenina", which was released outside the series. Lilya kept the prototypes of all the characters from Tolstoy's original work. But, again, she used her favorite technique and transferred all the characters to the conditions of the present. Kitty, for example, hunts for rich oligarchs, Karenin is pimping. And the dream of the main character - Anya Karenina - is popularity, she wants to become a world-famous pop symbol. This work arouses great interest among readers, but at the same time, after reading, reviews about it are left very ambiguous.

What do spouses live now

For a long time, the spouses Kim and Kurpatov were considered an ideal, loving and exemplary couple. In addition, as you know, Dr. Kurpatov starred in programs on Russian television, in which he repeatedly gave viewers advice on how to maintain ideal relationships in marriage.

Relatively recently, gossip began to appear on various forums that the couple divorced. It was written that on her page on one of the social networks, Lily first set the status to "Single", then deleted all joint photos with her husband, and left only her pictures with Sonya. Kim soon deleted her page altogether. Despite such rumors and discussions, none of this couple has yet made an official statement about the divorce.
