Oleg Nikolaevich Protasov was born in the village of Pankrushikhe (Altai Territory). Later, his family settled in Novosibirsk, and then moved to Barnaul. In the mid-1990s, he ended up in one of the correctional colonies located in the Dnepropetrovsk region, where he was until 1998, serving a sentence for theft. In the same year, he appeared in the film "Three Stars" - a drama about the brother and sister Belyankins. The main characters, Slava and Marina, while still children, treated each other without love, competed always and everywhere, trying to attract the attention of their mother, who raised them alone: her husband had long since left her for another. When the heroes of this story become over 30, a notice arrives about the death of their father. Marina and Slava inherit a small hotel locatednear the Black Sea coast. Soon they learn that there is a third heir, their brother Max, a boy of 15.

A year earlier, actor Oleg Protasov once again appeared in the crime genre film - the series "Under the Gun". This story involves viewers in the everyday life of a police station at the moment when surveillance cameras are installed there. The police officers here are not happy with this innovation, because now they will have to talk and behave with a suspect in a crime in a polite manner and in no way apply physical pressure on him, which, in their opinion, will only complicate their work.
