Arsenal
Saxophonist Alexei Kozlov in 1973 created a jazz-rock band, with which we will begin our review. The group is called "Arsenal", and, since 1999, it has been performing in an updated line-up. Japanese post-rock band "Toe" was formed in 2000. The music here is mostly instrumental, based on piercing and fast percussion playing. The band is also known for its clean, melodic guitar parts. The unique sound is shaped by subtle changes in the rhythm and time signature of the songs, although these include rock-specific motifs.
"Night Avenue" is a musical project that was created in 1985 by Ivan Sokolovskyand Alexei Borisov. During the existence of the project, several albums were released, the musicians participated in various festivals and managed to give hundreds of concerts that took place in different countries. Both founders of the project are from academia.
"Lunny Pierrot" is a group that was created in 1985 in Moscow. Its founders were students of the Tsaritsyn Musical College - guitarist Artur Muntaniol and keyboardist Valentin Trofimov. The first line-up also included Stanislav Kanareikin, drummer, and Sergey Kholodnov, bass player. Muntanyol wrote lyrics and music for the band.
Public Image Ltd. is a British musical group founded and directed by John Lydon, which he formed with Keith Levene and Jah Wobble. The members of the team subsequently changed frequently. At the same time, John Lydon remained the permanent leader of the group. The early works are often cited as some of the most innovative and stimulating music from the post-punk era.
