Candy Dulfer was born on September 19, 1969 in the Netherlands, in the family of Hans Dulfer, a famous saxophonist. The daughter inherited her father's talent, showing an interest in jazz music at an early age. Six-year-old Candy improvised well on her father's saxophone, and at the age of 14 she organized her first jazz-rock band, which made numerous trips around the area with concerts. Funky Stuff quickly gained popularity and lost the status of a "provincial group", which allowed Candy to start collaborating with various fairly well-known artists.
