Nadezhda Babkina
The Babkina Theater on Olimpiyskiy Prospekt was formed from the Russian Song Ensemble in 1993. Nadezhda Georgievna, its permanent leader, was also its creator.
N. Babkina was born in the Astrakhan region in 1950. She is a hereditary Cossack and sang from an early age. Nadezhda Georgievna was very fond of speaking to the public. Being a student of the 10th grade, she won the All-Russian youth competition. N. Babkina graduated from the Astrakhan College of Music, and then from the Moscow Gnessin Institute, department of choral conducting. In 1985 she studied at the higher theater courses at GITIS with a degree in "Director of mass performances". N. Babkina was awarded a large number of titles and awards. Today she is not only the head of the song theater, she continues to perform, tour, take part in television projects, is a State Duma deputy and does charity work.
