By the beginning of the 19th century, such a genre as fantasy was finally formed in art. Its distinctive feature is the presence in the work of any elements (phenomena, characters), whose existence is impossible in reality. Currently, fantasy is one of the most popular genres in literature and art in general.

This direction is very extensive and branches into many subgenres: science fiction, humorous, horror literature, fantasy. There are also several classic techniques that science fiction writers use in their works. One of them is “hitting.”

The so-called "fallers" are characters who, by the will of circumstances, got from their familiar world into a completely different one - a parallel universe, another planet, the future or the past. More often the hero moves directly physically, but in some cases only his consciousness gets into another world, being in someone's body.

Many well-known foreign writers created works about hitmen. In Soviet science fiction, this technique was not used so often, howeverIvan Bunshu and Ivan the Terrible from the well-known film "Ivan Vasilyevich Changes Profession" can be called their brightest representatives.

Hitting in Literature: The Chronicles of Narnia

One of the most popular literary works about hitmen is The Chronicles of Narnia by British writer Clive Staples Lewis. The series was created between 1950 and 1956.

"The Chronicles of Narnia" - a series of seven stories in the fantasy genre. There are four hitmen here - Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy Pevensie. They were ordinary children who were evacuated to Professor Kirk's house outside London during the Second World War.

In one of the rooms of this old house there was a seemingly ordinary wardrobe. However, Lucy, the youngest of the children, accidentally discovered that he had unusual properties.

The closet turned out to be a portal to Narnia - a magical world where magic is an everyday occurrence, and animals are able to talk like human beings. In this country, the children of Pevensie will have to go through many adventures, overcome various trials and help the inhabitants of Narnia defeat the dark forces of evil.

All Saints' Eve

Another well-known short story is All Hallows' Eve, written by Ray Bradbury in 1972. As the title suggests, the book takes place during Halloween, a holiday traditionally celebrated in the United States, Great Britain and other English-speaking countries.

The main characters are several teenage boys who had to become part of a mystical story. One day, October 31st, they don'twent to collect sweets, which is usually what children do on All Saints' Eve, and ended up next to an abandoned house in a terrible ravine.

Al also talks about using this portal to prevent the assassination of US President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. But now, due to his illness, he is forced to entrust this mission to Jacob. Epping agrees and, having received false documents, is sent to 1958.
