And the work of an advertiser is not at all the limit of his dreams, because at heart he is an artist and hopes to paint pictures someday. On the personal front, Max is also not going smoothly. The guy is hopelessly in love with the beautiful Margarita, representing a perfume company. Rita seems inaccessible to Grebenkin, and the situation is complicated by the fact that Max already has a girlfriend, spoiled and capricious Lena Karyakina. This role was superbly performed by Svetlana Khodchenkova, and Rita was played by the rising star of Russian cinema Anna Chipovskaya. Initially, Khodchenkova was approved for the role of Rita, but the actress preferred a negative character to a positive one.

Further development of the story

Finally confused, the hero decides to turn to an astrologer, whose role went to actor Dmitry Nagiev in the film "Horoscope for Luck". This character of Nagiyev turned out to be an ironic parody of himself and the canonical image of a fabulous gnome. The astrologer draws up the so-called lucky horoscope for Max. In it, for each of the thirty days, extravagant and crazy tasks are scheduled, by completing which Max will be able to achieve reciprocity from Rita. The astrologer also promised the hero that good luck would accompany him in all matters.

At first, Grebenkin's life is really changing dramatically and things are going up. The hero quickly perked up, but one day everything does not go according to plan. The ill-wisher rewrites the magic horoscope, and the life of the protagonist begins to crumble before our eyes. But “Lucky Horoscope” is a romantic comedy, so everything ends with a traditional ending for this genre.

After the premiere of the film on July 16, 2015, many critics burst into unflattering comments about both the screenwriter and director of the project, and the artists themselves. However, the picture also received positive reviews. It is impossible not to admit that the movie turned out to be light and romantic. True, some viewers felt that the jokes turned out to be banal and stupid. TV viewers respond quite positively about the performance of the actors of the Horoscope for Luck.

History of the making of the film

The filmmakers rightly decided during the pre-production period that there is no city more romantic than St. Petersburg. And the action of the scenario was transferred to the city on the Neva. Petersburgers who watched the film were surprised by the unexpected geography of the city, which was obtained with the help of editing, but the filmmakers explain such topographic discrepancies as an artistic necessity.

The shooting process took place right on the streets of the city, and passers-by were surprised by the sight of Dmitry Nagiyev, dressed in a green chromakey suit. Thanks to this costume, using computer graphics, they created the image of a caricatured dwarf. It is interesting that only location shooting took place in the Northern capital. All interior scenes - in the office, apartments, on a yacht - were filmed in pavilions inMoscow.
