The future singer was born in Ukraine, in a village called Kovalevka (in the Nikolaev region), in the spring, namely on March 24, 1954. Next year, 2014, the artist will celebrate his sixtieth birthday. Music has been loved by Serov since his school days. He played the viola in a school orchestra organized by a music teacher and attended a music school. Later, he even mastered the piano on his own, but he never thought about the career of an artist, he perceived it more as a hobby. The turning point in Alexander's life was the accidentally heard song of Tom Jones. At that moment, he decided that he would become the same ashe.

After school, the future artist continues his studies at a music school, makes several unsuccessful attempts to organize a jazz group, works as a pianist in a restaurant. In 1970 he went to serve in the army. There he finds time for his favorite pastime - he performs songs by Tom Jones and plays in the House of Officers. After the service, he works at the Krasnodar Philharmonic, for some time he is a member of the Singing Cadets team, leads several ensembles, and participates in music competitions. One of the most successful was Intertalant, held in 1987 in the Czech Republic (Prague). There Alexander Serov took the Grand Prix. The first star song of the artist was the composition "Cruise", which he performed together with Zarubina Olga.

The country heard songs from the artist's first album called "The World of Lovers" in 1984. At the same time, singer Alexander Serov also proved himself to be a successful TV presenter - he hosted and himself participated in the Wider Circle program.
1987 gave the listeners the second album of the musician - "Madonna". The video clip for the composition of the same name is considered the first in Russia. Serov's new video creation called "You Love Me" was a real breakthrough - a professional actress starred in the video for the first time.
