The action of the picture takes place in wartime, in 1941. On the territory of a forest near Moscow, Russian scouts discover a warehouse of enemy ammunition. The lieutenant, without hesitation, decides to send the main part of the detachment to the rear of the enemy, and he, taking with him an assistant in the person of Pivovarov, decides to further explore the surroundings on his own, trying to find a warehouse. Laterfor some time the main character manages to find the headquarters of the Germans and even kill a few people. During the operation, Ivanovsky was wounded, but his assistant, Private Pivovarov, saved his life by carrying the wounded man to the outskirts of the village.
