"Lenkom": a very brief history of creation
The main idea of creating a radically new theater, where the most daring and bright performances would be embodied, was born in 1927 in a circle of young and energetic actors. Then the first professional theater of working youth (TRAM) was created.
At first, the actors combined work at Soviet enterprises and acting on stage. But soon TRAM became a full-fledged theater of professionals. The repertoire mainly included productions of Soviet classical works - plays by A. Ostrovsky, M. Gorky, A. Pushkin, N. Ostrovsky.
February 20, 1938, the stage sign changed dramatically. From now on it burnedthe inscription "Moscow theater named after Lenin Komsomol". The troupe from the former TRUMP successfully connected with colleagues from the Moscow Art Theater - R. Ya. Plyatt, B. Yu. Olenin, S. G. Birman, S. V. Giatsintova. Soon, these brilliant actors of the Lenkom Theater were received by the public for an encore.
During its history, the stage has seen several outstanding leaders. Since 1938, the theater was managed by I. N. Bersenev, S. V. Giatsintova, S. A. Maiorov, B. N. Tolmazov. Lenkom reached its peak during the time of the chief director and artistic director A. V. Efros. Who created his own special school of actors.
Today, the permanent leader of Lenkom is Mark Anatolyevich Zakharov, an outstanding innovative director.
Legend Actors
The Lenin Komsomol Theater would not have been so prosperous without a bright cast. At all times, the most talented and sensitive actors appeared on the stage, who contributed to the formation and development of their second home.
Among the first cast of brilliant actors of the Lenkom Theater were Rostislav Plyatt, Sofia Giatsintova, Serafima Birman, Vladimir Solovyov. All of them were awarded the title of Honored Artists of the USSR.
Alexander Abdulov, Oleg Yankovsky, Mikhail Derzhavin, Pavel Smeyan, Leonid Bronevoi, Dmitry Maryanov became the next stellar galaxy of Lenkom. Unfortunately, all of them, having brought brilliant colors to the bright palette of the theater, ended their earthly journey. The chain of tragic deaths in the early 2000s gave rise to a lot of legends, the most mystical of whichis considered to be a giving about the curse of the sorcerer. These rumors are not devoid of some logic.
The fact is that the theater too quickly found a replacement for the leading artist Nikolai Karachentsov, who had a terrible accident. All his roles were assigned to Dmitry Pevtsov. Offended by Karachentsov, who suffered in all respects, the benefactor brought a sorcerer to the building of the Lenkom Theater (Moscow), who imposed a curse, claiming that from now on a string of deaths would follow on the stage. The tragedy also lies in the fact that all the departed actors were taken away by the plague of our time - cancer. However, the artistic director of Lenkom, Mark Zakharov, claims that the terrible curse is fiction. Based on his words, all terrible diseases happened from nervous strain and great physical exertion.

The scene has sheltered many superstars who never cease to win the souls and minds of the audience every season. Many of them combine theater and film acting.
The Lenkom troupe today includes such Great Masters of their craft as Valentin Gaft, Inna Churikova, Alexandra Zakharova, Alexander Zbruev, Alexander Lazarev Jr. The leading roles are played by Dmitry Pevtsov, Elena Shanina, Viktor Rakov, Andrey Solovyov. Young actors Maxim Amelchenko, Vitaly Borovik, Alexei Polyakov, Kirill Petrov, Anna Zaikova, Esther Lamzina also became a discovery for the director and the audience. Young and zealous guys fit perfectly into the friendly team of Lenkom.

"Lenkom" is a team that always strives for innovation andunusual. The original staging of classical and contemporary works cannot but touch the hidden corners of the human soul.
The stage repertoire is varied. Actors of the Lenkom Theater are involved in such productions as Rollercoaster, Strange People, These Adults, Monsieur de Molière's Dreams, Oprichnik's Day, and The Secret of the Enchanted Prince. Interesting are the fantasy based on the works of A. P. Chekhov and the comedy "Birds" by Aristophanes "The Jumper". The play goes to an unusual musical accompaniment, emphasizing the lightness of what is happening. But the most famous performance was and remains the legendary rock opera Juno and Avos, in which the famous Nikolai Karachentsov shone. Dmitry Pevtsov plays the leading role today.
