According to legend, Orpheus had a wife, Eurydice. The couple loved each other very much. When his wife died, Orpheus yearned and decidedbring her back from the realm of the dead. He went there to pick up his wife. The gods Persephone and Hades were fascinated by his singing and agreed to give him Eurydice. But there was one condition that the singer had to fulfill. He could not look at Eurydice until he brought her out of the realm of the dead. He violated the condition, and his wife did not return to earth with him, he lost her forever.

D. Roussos: biography

Greek singers of the 20th century were in the shadow of the owner of the unique voice of D. Roussos. The full name of the artist is Artemios Venturis. Demis is an affectionate form. He was born in Egypt, in Alexandria. His mother was a dancer, she had Greek and Italian roots. My father was an engineer, but he played the guitar very well. When Demis was still a child, the family changed their place of residence - they moved to Greece. D. Roussos played several musical instruments - trumpet, organ, double bass and guitar.

The singer was married four times and had two children.

The legendary vocalist died just over a year ago - in January 2015.

The creative path of the artist began with his participation in the group "Children of Aphrodite", which was organized in 1963 by the composer Vangelis. After 8 years, Demis decided to start a solo career and left the team. Soon everyone knew what a wonderful singer he was. Greek songs performed by him sounded in a special way due to the unique timbre - unusual, gentle, pure, like an electric tenor. Thanks to his unusual voice, the artist almost immediately conquered the Greek public, and then ascended the world Olympus. He wrote many songs for himself.

Greek singer Demis Roussos has recorded 42 albums over the years of his creative activity. The last one came out in 2001. This disc included twenty songs, biographical articles, and photographs.

S. Rouvas: biography

Greek singer Rouvas Sakis was born on the island of Corfu. The full name of the artist is Anastasis. His father was a driver and his mother worked in a cafe. Almost all ofthey went gold and platinum. His songs began to take first place in the charts. World fame Sakis brought his participation in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2004, where he took third place. The man performed in Russia more than once and sang in a duet with F. Kirkorov. In 2009, S. Rouvas again represented Greece at Eurovision. This time he finished in seventh place, which was disappointing, as were his fans.
