In the early 1970s, wonderful news spread around Siberian Irkutsk: a deer galloped from the forest right into the city center. It was cold, you see, the poor fellow had, because he decided to "dress up" in one of the local stores. The uninvited forest guest turned out to be an esthete: having chosen among other trading establishments the Beryozka, known throughout the country, he broke the window and jumped into the hall. Today it is not known for certain what exactly the deer picked up with its horns - a fur coat or a hat, but only the fact remains: with fur "prey" he rushed back into the forest.
About a deer who should have been born a panther
The song "Forest deer" is known today to several generations of Russians. She captivates with light romance and extraordinary airiness. It is impossible not to fall in love with the swift and muscular handsome horned man, and such universal recognition is the merit of two talented people - Yuri Entin and Evgeny Krylatov.
Actually, the forest deer known to the masses was supposed to be born … a panther. Nonsense? Not at all. It's just thatthe occasion when heaven pleased to give the world joy.
While working on the film “Oh, this Nastya”, Yuri Entin puzzled over the verses: the task was to tell about the panther, with which the girl walked around the city. All the necessary words did not fit into his head, and the poet decided to digress a little, he picked up a newspaper and began to study how the country lives.
Irkutsk lived with the news about the deer. After reading an entertaining note, Yuri Entin immediately came up with the text. This was the famous "Forest Deer".
Gypsy ugly - a review of the "Forest Deer"
A beautiful song was born, and along with it, its creators had problems. Entin fought with the director of the film: he was not satisfied with seemingly uncomplicated lines. And then the composer came to the aid of the poet. Everything was decided with a light hand and the bright talent of Evgeny Krylatov. The music he created for "Forest Deer" melted the director's stern heart.
However, cuffs fell on Krylatov. The then head of the children's radio said as cut off: "Gypsy ugly!" And he warned, they say, only through his corpse will they hear the "Forest Deer" on the radio. The death of the official did not have to wait - the song was played on the radio waves after he left office.
"Forest Deer": lyrics and music that survived the film
Such is the fate of this song: both the film in which it sounded and the singer who performed it first have long remained only in the memory of the elect. "Forest deer" turned out to be eager for life. Moreover, the popularity of this creation does not fall over the years.
Someone's tough and inexorable decisiontalented Aida Vedischeva, the singer who gave the song success, was pushed aside. For some reason, a children's choir sang a song about the owner of the deer country on "Song-73", and this fact could not but hurt Vedischeva.
Years will pass, and the role of the girl asking the deer to return at her will will be played by such Soviet and Russian pop stars as Lyudmila Senchina and Sofia Rotaru, Tatyana Bulanova and Yulia Savicheva, Sveta Svetikova and Yulia Mikhalchik. Even youth musical groups will aim at the song "Forest Deer".
And Evgeny Krylatov and Yuri Entin are only happy about this. There was a time, they explain, when it seemed that their work ceased to excite the people. Everything that has been built for decades has collapsed. However, the “black streak” has passed: new performers have appeared - with burning eyes, warm hearts and a lot of new ideas. "Forest Deer" turned out to be needed, and when more and more new people call them again and again in order to demonstrate their vision of the song, this only brings joy, the authors say.
