In May 2009, Quentin Tarantino presented his next film at the Cannes Film Festival, which was later highly acclaimed by critics - "Inglourious Basterds". The actors who starred in the action movie were quite colorful: Brad Pitt, Christoph W altz, Michael Fassbender and many others. The main events of the project unfolded during the Second World War in France.

Storyline

Hans Landa, nicknamed the "Jew hunter", suddenly pays a visit to the house of a French farmer, wanting to find the Jewish Dreyfus family.

Soon he finds the family members under the floor and orders the soldiers to shoot them. Eighteen-year-old Shoshanna manages to get out of hiding and escape from the killers.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Aldo Reine is recruiting a team of American Jewish soldiers to carry out a terrorist mission on occupied French soil. The task of the newly-minted allies is the brutal extermination of the Nazis. Soon the detachment becomes known in the Reich - Aldo and his associates are now called "Bastards", and their adventures are reported to Hitler himself. Suchwas the beginning of the Inglorious Basterds project. The actors act out the main action, from which it is no longer possible to distract from about the second third of the film.

Climax

A few years pass in the story, and the viewer sees that Shoshanna, who managed to escape, is now impersonating a French woman named Emmanuelle Mimieux. As a legacy from a distant relative, the heroine receives a small cinema. The German sniper Frederick Zoller draws attention to the girl, who in the near future will shine in the film “Pride of the Nation”, portraying himself. The soldier arranges everything in such a way that the premiere of the film, to which Hitler and his associates will come, takes place at the Mimieux institution. Shoshanna decides she has an opportunity to avenge her family.

A parallel storyline is shown for Rain, who also learns of the upcoming show and intends to use the event for his own purposes. The team will have a preliminary meeting with the recruited artist Bridget von Hammersmark, who will be able to take them to the premiere.

Role players

One of the brightest roles in the action movie went to Brad Pitt - he portrayed the cynical Aldo Rein, nicknamed "Apache". In addition to him, Eli Roth also distinguished himself - his hero Sergeant Donnie Donowitz, also known as the “Jew Bear”, terrifies the Nazis, and for good reason.

In turn, Gideon Burkhard was in the form of Corporal Wilhelm Wicky. A very memorable characterplayed Til Schweiger - the German military psychopath Hugo Stieglitz.

Although, of course, it was Christoph W altz who became the opening of the painting "Inglourious Basterds". The actors who embodied the key roles in the action movie were already well known to the public, unlike the performer of the role of Hans Landa, who simply brilliantly coped with his task!

• The picture managed to collect about three hundred million dollars at the worldwide box office, and also claimed an Oscar in eight nominations, which was a record for Tarantino.
• W altz received the most awards for his participation in the film: Oscar for Best Supporting Actor, Golden Globe in the same nomination and other awards.
• Quentin Tarantino immediately decided who he would like to see in the role of Albo Reina in the film "Inglourious Basterds". Brad Pitt at first took this proposal without enthusiasm, and then the director personally came to the actor's house, persuading him to change his mind. It is claimed that the celebrities drank several bottles of wine and finally reached an agreement after that.

The cult director's new work was originally supposed to run at 190 minutes, but was eventually cut to 153 minutes.
