She recommends that he use the modern drug "Ablixa" in his treatment. Jonathan has serious doubts about the safety of this experimental drug, but decides to prescribe it anyway after Emily makes another suicide attempt. It turns out that "Ablixa" works effectively. Emily's normal life is restored, only there are cases of somnambulism. In this state, she kills her husband with a kitchen knife.

Then the psychiatrist forbids Emily contact with Victoria, simultaneously convincing each of the women that he works for the other.

Finally, Emily tells the truth. She admits that she hated her husband when he was under investigation, as she considered it guilty that they had lost everything. She herself seduced Victoria, told her about the financial fraud, which she learned from her husband. In return, Victoria taught a woman to play a mentally unbalanced person. Their plan was to fake the side effects of Ablix by making a lot of money from the fall in the manufacturer's shares of the drug and the rise in the quotes of its competitors.

Jonathan agrees to release Emily frompsychiatric clinic only on the condition that she testify against Victoria. The main character is poisoned by Victoria, hiding a microphone in her clothes. She again seduces her, in a conversation the doctor confirms his participation in the crimes.
