In February 1937, Adalyn's husband dies. Exactly 10 months after this event, on December 17, 1937, something happens that changed the girl's whole life.

Adaline was on her way to visit her five-year-old daughter when the rarest snow in the area began to fall. Due to precipitation, the girl lost control, her car flew off a cliff and ended its movement in the icy water of the lake. A woman understands that staying here, in this city where many people know her, becomes dangerous. Suspicions turned into reality - one evening, when she was collecting home from work, representatives of the special services were waiting for her at the entrance. Then Adalyn Bowman was incredibly able to get out of the car in which she was put and brought to the helipad. Having miraculously escaped endless experiments, she says goodbye to her daughter andleaves the city. Since then, only three have been on her list of constant companions: her beloved dog, her daughter, and the blind pianist who couldn't even imagine how young her friend looked.

You need to stop

For the next 78 years, the ageless girl is forced to change her place of residence, work, name and surname every decade. Only her age remains unchanged - she is always 29. It is not known how much more she would run if it were not for the "unexpected love" that came when she was not expected at all. But Adalyn waited. After all, who does not want to meet old age with a loved one. And she constantly had to run away.

While celebrating the arrival of 2015, when the young beauty was about to turn 107, she made eye contact with a handsome guy. In such cases, they say that a spark flew between them. The girl at that moment was already preparing to move and even acquired new documents. But the 83-year-old daughter, who looked more like her grandmother, already then began to say: “Stop!” Adalyn thought about it herself, but at the same time she knew that she couldn't do it. Can't stop. Adaline Bowman, whose biography has already stretched for a century, was very tired of infinity, but did not understand how to fix the situation.

Perhaps the girl would have done the same as she always did: she moved to another city with new documents. But she decides to go with Ellis, her boyfriend, to his parents. Who could have known that the father of her lover, William, is a former boyfriend of a charming"old ladies". At first she said that Adalyn was her mother. The elderly man believed, although he never ceased to be surprised at the resemblance. The scar on her hand from a deep cut that the woman received while relaxing with William played a role. And he sewed up the edges of the wound himself. As the saying goes, it's pointless to deny. Adalyn showed weakness, told William everything, but then she realized that she needed to run. The man only managed to repeat to her several times: “Don’t do this, stop running away, you need to stop.”

Adalyn again experienced clinical death, from which she was brought out by paramedics with a defibrillator, the discharge of which was approximately the same power as that lightning. When the girl was discharged from the hospital, going to the mirror, she found herself with gray hair, and realized that now her desire to grow old and die next to her loved one is finallycome true. She told Ellis everything, and now they will live the years that fate has given them without secrets.
