Owners of an incredible number of awards in the field of music - the legendary Canadian guys from Three Days Grace - could not have reached such heights without their founder Adam Gontier, who, although he recently left the band, remains its soul to this day.
Canadian talent
Born in the boundless expanses of Canada, Adam Gontier learned the beauty of music from an early age. His mother, who was considered in his homeland, in the city of Norwood, to be a pretty good, one might even say, a famous musician, always dragged him with her to concerts and music parties, where the 12-year-old guy sang along with members of professional orchestras. At this time, he fell in love with the work of the legendary Beatles, Jeff Buckley, and rock in general.
Adam Gontier began his career almost from school, when he founded the band "Groundswell" with his friends. In those days, it was not very popular, so it even broke up several times. It is interesting that during all this time the composition of the group has not changed much, only the name has changed. Today, a team founded by Adam and consisting of BradWalston, Neil Sanders, Joey Grant and Phill Crowe are proudly called "Three Days Grace".
Drug-tainted pinnacle of fame
Beginning in 2006, when the rock band achieved worldwide recognition, Adam began to have problems with drugs. The general opinion was that this peak of the group's popularity was the reason for such dependence, because every musician dreams of such a rapid take-off (and already in 2007 Billboard magazine named Three Days Grace the best rock band of the year). Anyway, Adam Gontier and his
wife Naomi has struggled with drug addiction for many years and today is especially grateful for the help of the staff of the Toronto Mental He alth Center. Adam devotes even his free time between concerts to employees and clients of rehabilitation clinics, where he gladly gives acoustic concerts for mentally ill people and troubled teenagers. You can enjoy the creativity of musicians in specially equipped radio studios, which, at the request of Adam, are placed directly in hospitals. According to him, in this way he wants to encourage all people suffering from addiction to tell others about their problems.
Resignation
To the great regret of all the fans of the Canadian team, at the beginning of 2013, Adam Gontier leaves his "brainchild". An additional blow to his bandmates was that he decided to "retire" right before the start of new tours. The guys had to take Matt Walst to the team, who, for the sake of soloing in Three DaysGrace will likely sacrifice her participation in the not-so-famous group My Darkest Days.
No matter how many rumors there were about the reasons for such a decision! They also talked about the musician's poor he alth, which did not allow him to give concerts on the same busy tour schedule, and about strife between the team members, and even about the problems of the soloist in his personal life. But the main reason for parting with "Three Days Grace" Adam Gontier called the desire to start from scratch. But his fans should not be upset, because he did not end his career as a musician, but only his participation in the group. Perhaps very soon we will hear and see his new project!
What's a rocker without tattoos?
Fans of the musician year after year watch how his body is covered with more and more new drawings, inscriptions and signs. Apparently, Adam Gontier, whose photos of tattoos are simply amazing, began to “decorate” his body relatively recently, but his pace in this matter is simply amazing!
So, the very first tattoo on Adam's body is a black stripe that imitates a sports armband. According to the musician himself, he did it only in order not to fool himself and not to put on every morning the same black bandage that he constantly wore on his right arm before. Directly below the strip is the philosophical text of his favorite composition "Never Too Late".
After that, an even more massive tattoo followed, which today adorns Adam's left arm. In the future, he wants to continue this abstract drawing until the very end.brushes.
Adam Gontier has always treated the “beautiful half” of his family in a special way. Perhaps that is why he decided to leave on his body the memory of his grandmother, writing above the elbow: "Gramma 1919". But the guy's left shoulder is adorned with a portrait of his beloved wife, and above it some incomprehensible, but rather beautiful inscription flaunts, apparently meaning her name.
Symmetrically to the portrait of Naomi, on the right hand is a strange red skull surrounded by flames, and under it is another massive abstraction.
Adam's right wrist is adorned with, one might even say, elegant butterfly, and the inscription "GRACE" is visible on the fingers of the same hand - each letter is tattooed on a separate finger.
Gontier's long hair is no longer visible, but he has either a letter or a number "X" on his neck.
It is unlikely that Adam will be limited to this list of tattoos, so, ardent fans, hope and wait for the appearance of new creations on his body.
