Autumn 2015 was rich and generous with unusual new movies, and one of the long-awaited surprises was the premiere of a comedy with Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway called The Intern. At first, being an elderly person surrounded by creative, ambitious, sometimes too straightforward and even tactless youth causes some bewilderment. The viewer begins to worry about the protagonist, experiencing almost real embarrassment at the sight of his indefatigable diligence and desire to be useful.

What will the "Intern" teach?

However, the film soon turns into a kind fairy tale that human capabilities are almost unlimited, that age and time are not able to dry up a person's quickness of mind and the ability to enjoy the moment. Ben comes to Jules Austin (Anne Hathaway) as an intern, in fact, the online store team begins to learn delicacy from Ben, the ability to trust, make friends and even dress fashionably.

Jules herself, who seemed to be in oblivion before meeting with Ben, comes to her senses and begins to look at the world with different eyes. What does she see in him? What role does he take on? Of course, the cordial reception of the tape was due to positive attention. "Intern" tells about the life of an elderly man. Along with such films as "Before the box has played", "The Marigold Hotel - the best of the exotic", etc., this film turned out to be able to cheer up the audience of any age. The message of a joyful life full of new opportunities in retirement could hardly leave the viewer indifferent. Especially when such a positive point of view comes from the screen through the lips of a famous actor.

Emotional component of the film

The sensitivity and delicacy of friendship, issues of choice and trust, a reasonable attitude towards oneself and one's life run through the entire film as a red thread, which makes the film "The Intern" even more valuable from an ethical point of view. Reviews of the film in Russia turned out to be much more enthusiastic than in the homeland of this movie. Despite the fact that the topic of starting a new prosperous life in retirement is hardly close to the inhabitants of our country, the Intern was received kindly and complacently. The unpretentious, full of good irony plot quickly fell in love with the Russians.

And this is not surprising: a story about friendship, loy alty, endless possibilities and success at any stage of life's journey cannot but inspire vivacity, optimism and long-lasting good mood. A good movie should make a person at least a little better, a little happier. The Intern did an excellent job with this task.
