Today we will focus on the unrecognized Argentinean actor Osvaldo Gidi and tell his story, which, unfortunately, just like the rest of the listed geniuses,has a sad ending.

On the way to your chimera

Gidi was born on March 10, 1964 in the community of Maximo Paz in the Argentine city of Santa Fe. There he spent his entire childhood, keeping in his heart the dream of becoming a famous actor. By the way, his full name is Osvaldo Oreste Gidi, but he was shortened at the request of the directors. At the end of school, the young man went to meet his dreams in Buenos Aires. For the next 20 years, all he did was study acting and improve.

A serious approach and a worthy reward for the work

The zeal and the time spent studying definitely paid off: for the first serious work in the TV series Celeste, where he played a terminally ill guy with AIDS, Gidi received an award. It was an award for a supporting role - Martina Ferro (1992).

Then he was invited to the series "Antonella", after which Osvaldo Gidi woke up famous. The Russian audience remembered the actor and fell in love with the role of Bernardo in the youth series with Natalia Oreiro in the title role - "Wild Angel" (1998-1999). His character was a little contradictory and rather complicated, but Gidi brilliantly coped with the role, managing to give the pedant Bernardo charm, kindness and cordiality. It is worth saying that shooting in the TV series "Wild Angel" was the last serious work of Osvaldo Gidi in the cinema.

The actor for a long time did not lose hope for success and recognition, wasfilled with enthusiasm. He tried his hand at television, worked as a theater director, set foot on the path of dramaturgy, in general, tried to stay afloat in every possible way. Because of such an ardent passion for his dream, Osvaldo Gidi's personal life did not work out. He has never been married, nor was he in a romantic relationship.

Many Argentine journalists claim that the actor was quite secretive, but his confessions and thoughts, put on public display on social networks, suggest otherwise. Gidi wrote without hesitation that without influential friends and all-powerful relatives, recognition cannot be achieved.

According to friends of Osvaldo Gidi, whose biography is on the agenda of the article today, he often fell into depression due to lack of demand. The last outlet of the famous Bernardo was the acting school, opened by him in Buenos Aires. There Gidi spent all his free time trying to look like he was doing what he loved. However, it was just a picture behind which dissatisfaction and lack of recognition were hidden. In the end, the actor decided to put an end to it, having lost all hope of getting a serious role in the theater or cinema.

Osvaldo Guidi, whose cause of death is unknown, was found hanged at his acting school on October 17, 2011. He left no notes, but the day before he died, he posted on his Facebook wall that he was too old to seek his fortune in another country. He was only 47.
