Kozlov Sergei was able to give a fairy tale to many Soviet children.

All characters have an author who gave them a big start in life. This is the great writer and poet-storyteller Sergey Grigoryevich Kozlov.

A writer's life

Interesting and rich in impressions, filled with meetings with children and their parents, the life of a man with a capital letter - a person who gave life to our contemporaries.

Kozlov Sergei was born in a Moscow courtyard on August 22, 1939. An inquisitive and quick-witted boy already in elementary school became the author of his first poems and fairy tales. The youthful passion has grown into a great desire to write interesting and exciting fairy tales for children. The purposeful boy set goals for himself, which he went to at school.

Sergey Kozlov, whose biography is known to few, graduated from high school, thenbecame a student of the Literary Institute, learned the skill of a turner at a factory, taught at school, taught singing lessons to children, and conducted excursion tours to the Pushkin Reserve in the village of Mikhailovskoye. Communication with people gradually filled his work with meaning, subtle humor, and most importantly, kindness.

When was the fairy tale born?

In the early 60s, an aspiring writer found his calling in writing fairy tales for kids. Meetings with children, conversations brought his creativity to a new level. Animation needed interesting authors writing scripts for cartoons that would be interesting to watch with kids and their parents, grandparents. Kozlov Sergey put all his imagination to create magical stories.

One of the favorite films for children is "How the lion and the turtle sang a song." In any preschool institution, they sing a cheerful song of a carefree Lion cub at matinees. And what a smart Turtle, calm, friendly. Only a kind-hearted person could write like that.

Kozlov Sergei Grigorievich died on January 9, 2010. He was buried at the Troekurovsky cemetery in Moscow. The poet-storyteller was a laureate of the K. Chukovsky Prize. His memory remains in the hearts of children and adults.

He is still respected today. The works are read with pleasure by parents to their little daughters and sons.
