Anna Shilova is a famous Soviet TV presenter. Her face and voice were known to almost every inhabitant of the USSR in the 70s and 80s. In post-perestroika times, she disappeared from TV screens, and today fewer and fewer people remember her name. At the same time, she was a true symbol of the Soviet era, and her very path is also a product of those times.
Early years
Anna Shilova was born in Novorossiysk on March 15, 1927. Her childhood had many difficulties - the times for the country were not easy. The future TV presenter grew up as a very active and artistic child. Shilova did not talk about her parents, as well as about her personal life in general, so there is almost no information about that period of her life.
Profession of an actress
After graduating from school, Anna decides to become an actress and, despite the difficult times: there was a war in the country, she enters the Perm Theater School. Upon graduation, Anna Shilova, a theater actress, decided to move to Moscow, since then it was possible to make a career only in the capital. Provincial actors were doomed to life, and the girl dreamed of a star career. But life made adjustments to her plans.
She started working in the capital at the Theater-Studio of a film actor. This theater was created during the war in order to provide employment for professional screen workers during a lull in the film industry. Shilova worked in the theater until 1956.
She managed to play a few small roles in movies. These were episodes in the films "New House" and "On the stage of the stage", where Shilova was not even indicated in the credits. Also in her filmography, small roles in the films "In Our City" and "The Mystery of N. F. I." Later, after Shilova said goodbye to her professional career as an actress, she was invited to play in films several more times, these were small roles in the films “From New York to Yasnaya Polyana”, “October”, “At the First Hour”, “The Most high”, “Prochindiada, or running on the spot”. Her career as an actress ended almost before it began, at the age of 20 she was diagnosed with spinal tuberculosis, which cut her flight short. The disease was a consequence of a difficult childhood, Shilova was given a disability and forbidden to work. Despite this, she did not give up and, overcoming everything, was treated and worked.
TV career
In 1956, Shilova decides to change her life and enters the competition of TV presenters in Ostankino. She passed this test, although there were about 500 applicants for one place. In just two months of preparation, Shilova began to go on the air, she hosted sports, information, musical broadcasts. She also read the text behind the scenes, for example, in the famous Kinopanorama. Anna Shilova, whose personal life has faded into the background in relation to work, has always strived for perfection in her main role. She became a kind of symbol of Soviet television, the "standard" of the TV presenter. Her manner and style became a model for several generations of Soviet television announcers. Her main career milestones were the Blue Light and Song of the Year programs, which she hosted for many years. During her almost 40-year career, Shilova received the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR and the medal "For Labor Valor".
Blue Light
In 1959, the program "Our Club" was broadcast for the first time with the hosts Igor Kirillov and Anna Shilova. Outstanding artists came to the program and talked to the announcers about the most interesting events in cultural life. After some time, the program underwent changes and began to be released in a weekly format called "TV Cafe". People from different fields were invited here, who talked about their achievements, all this was interspersed with musical numbers. Anna Shilova and Igor Kirillov were still leading the project.
Later, in 1962, this program was transformed into the famous "Blue Light" with the same presenters. The program aired for more than 20 years, it became a symbol of the festive feasts of the Soviet era, and Shilova and Kirillov were so perceived as a duet that the entire population of the country was sure that they were spouses. In 1985, "Blue Light" in the old formdisappears from the screens. But the population categorically did not want to lose such a program, and it is being revived in a slightly different form and with different presenters. And today, the successor to the traditions of the "Blue Light" is the transfer of the television company "Russia" "Saturday Evening".
Glory
Work on television and especially in the "Blue Light" led to the fact that Anna Shilova became a star of the allied scale. She was recognized everywhere, she received bags of letters from fans and ordinary people. Her fame was simply incredible, she was recognized even simply by her voice. Therefore, she could not afford to leave the house, for example, in a tracksuit and without makeup. The image of the star obliged her to maintain her style in everyday life. At the same time, Anna Nikolaevna was a very modest person in life, she was worried before each broadcast, she was friends with many colleagues.
Life after fame
Anna Shilova, biography, whose family was associated with Soviet television, ended her days in oblivion. In the early 90s, she decided to end her career as a TV presenter. She said that she had lost the sparkle in her eyes and that she wanted the audience to remember her during her heyday, not decline. Although, most likely, the reason for leaving was associated with growing competition. Television has changed a lot, approaches to editorial policy and behavior in the frame have also been modernized. It was no longer easy for Anna Nikolaevna to fit into this new format. In addition, at that time, the editors believed that it was necessary to get rid of softwarecentenarians and introduce new shows. Anna Shilova, whose photo can be seen today in any directory of Soviet television, was gradually forgotten.
Private life
Often in Soviet times, women had a hard choice: career or family happiness, and some ladies made a choice in favor of work, but some tried to combine the incompatible. Among these women was Anna Shilova. Biography, personal life, husband, children of TV stars of the Soviet era were a secret with seven seals. The presenter never talked about her private life. It is only known that in 1945 Anna married a student of VGIK, Junior Shilov, who gave her the surname under which she became famous. The first pregnancy ended in nothing due to illness. Later, the TV presenter dreamed of a child for many years and gave birth to a son, Alexei. He, like his mother, connected his life with television, worked as an announcer. It is known about the husband of the TV presenter that he worked in the theater. Lenin Komsomol, acted in films a little, in particular in the film "On a long voyage", wrote scripts (picture "The First Trolleybus"). The son of Anna Shilova had a daughter, the granddaughter of a TV presenter, Maria Shilova.
Last years and departure
After retiring, Anna Shilova devoted herself to her family. She lived in a small one-room apartment. Despite her extraordinary fame, she did not consider it possible for herself to go and ask for a bigger apartment, and the authorities did not bother to take care of her comfort. In recent years, she lived with her son, who left his job fortelevision due to alcoholism. They say that he greatly complicated the life of his mother and even allowed himself to raise his hand to her. December 7, 2001 Anna Shilova died. A small group of colleagues gathered for her funeral, including long-term broadcast partner Igor Kirillov, Viktor Balashov, Anna Shatilova, Anatoly Lysenko, Vera Shebeko. The management of Ostankino undertook all the expenses for the funeral, and the sad celebration turned out to be worthy, albeit not crowded. Anna Shilova rests at the Troekurovsky cemetery in the same grave with her son.
