Moriya is currently the current captain of the Grand Line and a former Shichibukai of the World Government. His first appearance was in the One Piece season 1 arc, Thriller Bark. In this storyline, he played the role of the main antagonist opposing the Straw Hats. Using the powers of the Kage Kage no Mi, he kidnapped the shadow of an ancient swordsman who became a member of the Straw Hats in the future.
Gekko Moria's next appearance was at the Battle of Marineford, where he failed to live up to the expectations of his handlers and was stripped of his Shichibukai rank. For this, he was sentenced to death, the executor of which was Donquixote Doflamingo. He managed to escape, after which the hero's whereabouts were hidden.
Physical Data
Gecko Moria is the owner of the tallest among all Shichibukai. With a growth of 7 meters, his neck occupies about 1/7 of the part. At the same time, Morya has an extremely full body, resembling a ball or an oval.
Style
He wears old goth style clothes, using a black coat, leather pants and boots. There are spikes on the collar, and the throat is sewn up with thick ropes. Some of the fans associate his appearance with a gecko and a leek. The character has sharp facial features and teeth that look like a saw blade or razor blade. Two small horns protrude from Moria's forehead, and the ears are pointed. Such characteristics may hint that the hero belongs to one of the races, about which nothing is known yet.
The skin of the Thriller Bark leader is gray, dark with a bluish tint. The hair in the manga is bright red, although it was shown as purple in the anime.
Character
The character has all the traits of a classic anime villain. He is quite calm and pragmatic, which sometimes gives the impression of laziness. In conversation, he behaves as if he is confident in his invincibility. Despite the extremely caustic nature, it has principles. The hero is sure that a pirate should not be afraid of anything, including death. In his youth, he even dreamed of becoming the Pirate King, but suffered a crushing defeat in the New World. A pirate is rarely drawn without a characteristic sly smile. Even at the moment when defeat is close, he continues to be confident in his victory.
Moriya does not like to participate in battles, acting as a puppeteer. He directs his wards to battle with enemies, or uses the power of his fruit. Because of this, he has weak physical parameters, despite the characteristics of his body.
