"Adaptation of Bees" (another name for Beesadaptic) is an alternative music group from Russia that defines its style as "cyber-grunge". Her sound is reminiscent of a synthesis of grunge and cyberpunk. The musicians themselves specifically use the letter "d" in the word "grunge", ironically pointing to the ideological inspirer - the songwriter and vocalist of the group.

About the group
The team built its unusual name on associations from the first phrase heard in a biology lesson, a series about the attack of experimental bees in the once popular science fiction series "The X-Files" and the image of honeycombs on the cover of The Beatles A Taste of Honey, published " Melody".
Since 2003, the guys have been performing a lot with concerts at various venues and festivals in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Dzerzhinsk, Yaroslavl, Nizhny Novgorod, Vologda, Arkhangelsk and many other cities throughout Russia.
"Adaptation of Bees" often sounds on the air of Aplus Rock, "Maximum" and "Nashe Radio" radio stations. Also, their songs can be heard on the waves of "Radio Felix", "Prosto Radio", AlterVision, "Special Radio", "Sturm" and others.
In 2007 they released the first video for the song "Fairy Tale in itself", a year later the second official video "Disposition" was released. Both premieres took place on two major TV channels at once - A-One and O2TV.
In 2005, "Adaptation of Bees" received the Russian Alternative Music Prize (aka RAMP) in the "Discovery of the Year" category, two years later - in 2007 - the band members became winners in the "Underground Act of the Year" nomination.
In the process of working, recording and mixing their albums, the group has already managed to work with such recognized masters of their craft as Andrei Alyakrinsky (Tequilajazzz), Boris Istomin (Knob Studio, Mosfilm Studio), Yuri Bogdanov (Magic Mastering Studio) and Andrey Ivanov ("Moral Code").

The songs of "Adaptation of Bees" are characterized by a sharp change of moods and the ultimate density of sounds, especially tracks with electronic elements.
Word"cyber-grunge" reflects the multifaceted and abstract essence of the real picture of the band's work: an explosive mixture of electronics and alternative sound with catchy rhythm sections and juicy enveloping vocals. The most flattering reviews about their music have repeatedly received "Adaptation of Bees". The chords of their songs are clear, hysterical and rhythmic. On the one hand, this is almost classic alternative rock, but there is much more hidden inside these melodies: keyboard ambient, echoes of techno and even post-punk, echoing in transitions. From album to album, the sound of "Adaptation of Bees" becomes more and more layered and intriguing. Each new item released seems to continue everything that was before, but at the same time it goes to a completely different level. This is especially noticeable on the disc "Melonoy", which became a new round in their work, retaining everything better that was before, and giving the listeners something completely unexpected.
Everything is digitized in their songs: voice, guitars, drums, melody and even lyrics are imbued with some kind of secret cybernetic meaning. But in this case, such a widespread use of computer technology is a plus. It helps to create an almost cosmic atmosphere that makes you forget while listening, and the titles of the tracks mix into one long musical journey from the first chords to the state of weightlessness.
