Chris was born in 1978 in the Canadian city of Brampton (Ontario). His mother was then a teacher, and his father owned a heating business. He was going to study biochemistry, as he planned to devote himself to medical practice in the future. But when friends applied to the Mayfield Secondary School of Fine Arts, Chris followed suit. While studying there, he saved up money for a medical university, but after seeing an advertisement in the newspaper for the selection of actors, he decided to test his abilities and in 1996 received a role in an episode of the teenage series “Moments to Come” (1995-1996).
