There is no doubt that the accordion is Russian. After all, it is this instrument that we imagine when it comes to folk festivals. She can make you dance or cry. In the old days, it was an essential attribute of a wedding. But even today there are connoisseurs of its extraordinary sound and professionals who perform any musical works on it, because notes for accordion are still being published.
Where did she come from?
But it is interesting that the origin of this instrument is not entirely Russian. There are several opinions on this matter. It is said that the first master who made it lived in Germany. But it is known for certain that the original Russian accordion in our country was made by a Tula master. However, he took a foreign model bought at the fair as a sample. Our craftsmen recreated the Russian accordion according to the model. And nowhere did she fall in love like in our country, so the production of these instruments in the 19th century gradually grew.
What are they like?
Tula accordion was originally a simple single-row. That is, on its right and left half there was only one row of buttons. Gradually, the instrument became more complex and became two-row. Learned to do it in otherscities. And in each they tried to make the Russian accordion acquire its own individuality. To do this, they decorated it in all possible ways. By the decor that was on the instrument, it was possible to say exactly in which area it was made.
Instrument structure
Any accordion, although it sounds different, consists of two half-shells, on which the buttons are located. Playing on the right keyboard, the harmonist reproduces the melody, and on the left he accompanies himself, extracting basses or chords, depending on the work. In the middle, the Russian accordion has furs. It sounds due to the fact that with their help air is pumped into it, which acts on the reeds of the instrument. Harmonies also differ in the sound the button makes when the bellows move.
True love
It is interesting that folk lovers of this instrument played it regardless of whether they have notes for the accordion or not. The melody was picked up by ear or it passed from one musician to another. Vasily Terkin from the work of A. Tvardovsky was such a self-taught. He went through the whole war with this instrument. It is known that accordions were specially sent to the front in order to raise the morale of the fighters. At the beginning of 1941 alone, about 12,000 instruments were sent. Further, their number at the front only increased. Even on the monument in Smolensk, in which Terkin is immortalized along with the writer, he holds an accordion in his hands.
Save memory
There are other monuments in honor of this instrument, or people who haveattitude to him. There is a monument to the harmonist in Saratov for a reason. After all, the instruments that began to be produced in this city in 1870 became unique. Korelin N. G. opened a workshop, several productions gradually appeared.
At first harmonies were produced simple, without decorations, focusing on the sound, but gradually they began to paint the bodies in different colors, cover them with varnish. The demand for tools was great, so over time, handicraft production turned into an industrial one. Harmonies began to be mass-produced. Unfortunately, in our time, Saratov harmonicas have ceased to be made at the factory. The disintegration of the Soviet Union gradually led to this. But on the other hand, a new workshop is functioning, where talented young craftsmen work. They produce Saratov accordions, which are becoming popular again due to the revival of interest in the history of our country.
Continuation of traditions
The fact that interest in this instrument does not fade even in our time proves the existence of the TV show “Play, my beloved accordion!”. It vividly demonstrates how popular the harmonica is in the vastness of our country, what a huge number of people still play this instrument, and even more listen, feel sad and have fun with it. The initial releases of the program took place in 1986. Unfortunately, the first presenter of the program, G. Zavolokin, died in a car accident. A monument was erected at the place of his death (95 km of the Novosibirsk-Ordynskoye highway). It represents a bench on which Gennady sits, holding an accordion on his knees. Perched next to himcat. The case of Zavolokin is continued by his children Anastasia and Zakhar.
Nowadays, you can find a wide variety of accordions on sale. They are produced both in our country and in other countries. Is an accordion expensive? The price depends on what materials and decor are used in its creation. You can find tools worth both 17,000 and 300,000 rubles. Expensive ones are suitable for professional musicians. For those who are just going to learn music, there are enough models and simpler.
It is noteworthy that children come to music schools who want to master this difficult instrument. Consequently, even after several generations, interest in the Russian accordion will not fade away and it will be possible to listen to its unforgettable tunes with pleasure.
