Storyline

Dover tries several times to talk to the alleged kidnapper, begging for the girls' whereabouts. However, the result cannot be achieved. Then the desperate father kidnaps Alex and turns into a monster himself, torturing a sick man in an abandoned mansion.
In the finale, it turns out that Keller was on the wrong track from the very beginning. The ending of the movie turns out to be rather unpredictable, and even a little incomplete.

Hugh Jackman, one of Hollywood's highest-paid actors, was only known for the X-Men franchise for many years. However, for the last five or seven years, the artist has been trying to establish himself as a versatile performer, agreeing to bold experiments.

In the end, the truth is revealed to Dover, but due to his indiscretion, he himself becomes a victim of the kidnapper.

In 1999, Howard rose to fame with the romantic comedy The Best Man. For his work in the drama "Fuss and Movement", the actor was nominated for the "Fuss and Movement" award.
In 2008, the actor played the role of Colonel James Rhodes in the first part of the Iron Man franchise. However, Terrence did not benefit from fame: in Hollywood, he became known as an actor with whom there are too many problems. As a result, serious directors stopped working with him, and Howard himself migrated from the big screens to television soap operas like Empire.
In the film "The Captives" actors Howard and Jackman played friends who faced the same grief - lost their daughters. However, Howard's hero in this situation preferred to sit at home, while the perpetrator would walk with impunity through the streets of the city. Keller has to literally force Franklin to get to the bottom of the truth and look for the true kidnapper with him.

Jake Gyllenhaal played a detective in the thriller Captives. The actors, as you can see, are quite well-known in the film.
Detective Loki shares the grief of fathers and tries to find little girls, but he does not welcome arbitrariness and wants everything to be according to the law. That is why a wall of alienation arises between him and Keller, because the hero of Hugh Jackman believes that Loki does not catch the criminal at all.
