Yuri Bogatyrev, whose filmography is quite extensive, made his debut as a film actor in 1970. It was a small role in the famous film by N. S. Mikhalkov "A Quiet Day at the End of the War." The real fame Yuri Bogatyrev, an actor versatile and infinitely gifted, knew four years later. This happened after the release of the famous western film "At Home Among Strangers, Stranger Among Our Own". The picture takes us to the distant 20s, to a small southern Russian town. People's favorite
It will not be an exaggeration to say that Bogatyrev was the favorite of millions of moviegoers in the Soviet Union. However, it is difficult for today's viewer to imagine that such a popular and famous person can have such a hard and tragic life. His few true friends recall that Yuri had too many envious people among his colleagues. envied himincredible popularity, the fact that he had many roles, that Yuri Bogatyrev, whose filmography was the dream of many less fortunate actors, was at that time one of the richest actors. They even envied the fact that he was alone.
Bogatyrev has worked at the Moscow Art Theater since 1976. The meanness and hypocrisy, envy and intrigues that reigned in the troupe at that time horrified him. During this period, drunkenness among the Moscow Art Theater was considered the norm.
Actor Yuri Bogatyrev: personal life
Unfortunately, in this regard, things did not turn out the way we wanted. Yuri Georgievich could not find his soul mate. He always passionately fell in love with his screen or stage partners (Olga Yakovleva, Elena Solovey, Svetlana Kryuchkova, Anastasia Vertinskaya). He dreamed of marrying each of them. But these were only bright dreams, platonic feelings.
He had a special relationship with the beloved actress Iya Savvina. They were not just colleagues, stage partners. They were true great friends, kindred spirits. They even had the same birthday, which they always tried to celebrate together.
Unfortunately, Yuri Bogatyrev, whose personal life did not work out, quite often fell into deep depressions, and experienced his loneliness hard.
There was another delicate side of the actor's life, which is not at all easy to talk about. Already at a fairly mature age, the actor discovered his homosexual inclinations. Because of this discovery, he suffered greatly and could not find an explanation.its dissimilarity to other people. Considering that this happened rather late, one can imagine how painful it was for him. It is now that some stars flaunt such a feature, and Yuri suffered, drank a lot, did stupid things, which he later regretted very much. His close friends believe that Yuri would have had better he alth, and drinking would have been over if he had come to terms with his "weirdness".
Fake marriage
Despite everything, in the life of Yuri Bogatyrev there was a marriage. Many consider it fictitious, although this is not entirely true. The actress of the Taganka Theater, Yuri's dormitory neighbor Nadezhda Seraya found herself in a very difficult situation. After a painful and very scandalous divorce from director Mikhail Hussein, according to the laws of that time, a woman with a child had to be evicted not only from the hostel, but also from Moscow. At this time, Nadezhda met Yuri. Their relationship gradually grew into love. The marriage was formalized without much fuss, many later considered it a secret. The newlyweds hid this fact of their lives even from the closest people - the daughter of Nadezhda Vari and the mother of Yuri Tatyana Vasilyevna, who at that time underwent a serious operation.
Nadezhda insisted on keeping the marriage a secret. The couple did not live together: it was impossible for the three of us to exist in a tiny room. They decided to wait until the girl grows up a bit and there will be money to purchase more comfortable housing. However, feelings quickly began to cool, and their relationship gradually ended. MomYuri did not have time to talk about his marriage. After the death of her son, she saw a registration stamp in her passport, Nadezhda told her that the marriage was fictitious.
Ranks
In 1981, Yuri Georgievich was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Russia, and in 1988 he became a People's Artist. After receiving the titles, the actor finally received his first home - a one-room apartment on Gilyarovsky Street. However, unfortunately, Yuri Georgievich did not have to live in it for a long time.
Yuri Bogatyrev - artist
The actor has been working hard lately. In addition to his main activity, he enthusiastically painted compositions on the themes of his favorite plays and films, portraits. In mid-January 1989, he began to prepare his first solo art exhibition. Yuri Bogatyrev carefully selected the works, came up with names. The exhibition was supposed to start on February 6, 1989 at the Bakhrushin Museum. But to the horror of many fans on this day, Moscow buried their favorite actor. Why did Yuri Bogatyrev die? The cause of his death has long interested admirers of the talent of a popular artist. The exhibition opened without Yuri, but not in Moscow, but in Leningrad. Today it can be seen in Samara. Roles specially written for the actor were played by other actors. For example, the role of General Radov in The Barber of Siberia was intended for Bogatyrev.
Tragic death
Many fans of the actor's talent are still concerned about the question of how Yuri Bogatyrev died. The cause of death was known the day after the tragedy.
Shortly before this date, Bogatyrev received quitea large fee for the film "Dark Eyes". On this occasion, on February 1, 1989, he invited a company to his apartment to celebrate this event. Late in the evening he became ill with his heart. An ambulance was called, and the paramedic arrived (for a heart attack!), Trying to save the actor's life, he injected a drug into his heart that is incompatible with alcohol. Death came instantly. So, due to a ridiculous mistake and unprofessionalism, on the night of February 1 to February 2, 1989, a 41-year-old talented person died.
The actor has always dreamed of playing Oblomov. On the eve of his funeral, friends sewed a burgundy "Oblomov" robe, "aged" it in theater workshops, and at the funeral covered the actor's legs with this symbol of his unfulfilled dream. Yuri Bogatyrev was buried at the Vagankovsky cemetery.
Strange circumstances
After the death of the actor, a large amount of money mysteriously disappeared from his apartment. This is just the amount of the last fee. The same mysterious fate touched the paintings of Yuri. Of the hundreds of his works, only eight are stored in the Bakhrushin Museum, several works remained with close friends. The whereabouts of the rest is still unknown.

The events of the film refer to the thirties. Lena Khrapova came to Moscow from a provincial town. She did not enter the law school, as her mother wanted, but went to the theaterschool. The main role of the poet was played by Yuri Bogatyrev.
Presumption of Innocence (1988)

Unfortunately, this most talented person passed away too soon, but the roles played by him will forever remain in the history of Russian cinema.
