They know everything about each other: what Lorelei's opinion is about the appearance of another beau or how Rory felt when she kissed the boy for the first time.

The most unifying mission of the Gilmore girls is a friendly confrontation with the we althy and prim parents of Lorilei - Emily and Richard Gilmore. Even after 16 years, they cannot come to terms with the unexpected pregnancy of their daughter and her even more unexpected flight from the crown and parental home.

Although grandparents love their granddaughter, they are trying with all their might to prove their own superiority to their willful daughter in any matters - material, family and raising children. Emily did not understand that with her secular principles and insistent demandcompliance with her own rules moves away from her daughter, and only the kindness and wisdom of Lorelei allow her to feel needed and participate in the life of her granddaughter.

During the series, Lorelei has several men. Then there was a colleague of Richard's father Gilmour, a former fellow student at management school, and even Christopher, who suddenly decided to try to start over.
