Carl Weathers is an American actor, producer, director and professional football player. He is best known for his role as Apollo Creed in the Rocky film series. He starred in the cult action movie Predator, the comedy Lucky Gilmore and the sitcom Arrested Development. In total, during his career he participated in more than seventy films and TV shows.
Childhood and youth
Carl Weathers was born January 14, 1948 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Coming from a working-class family, thanks to his athletic talents in the eighth grade, he was able to get a place in a prestigious private school.
Throughout high school, Carl played many sports, including boxing, wrestling, judo, soccer, and gymnastics. As a result, after graduation, he was able to receive an athletic scholarship at Long Beach College. Played for the local football team as a defender.
Sports career
