There is a wonderful fabulous place for spending leisure time for children in the city of Kazan - the Tatar State Puppet Theater "Ekiyat". He is also known outside of Tatarstan, as he is a participant in All-Russian and International festivals.
Puppet theater (Kazan). The history of the beginning of the development of the theater, the first performances and achievements
During its 76-year history, the theater has staged more than 320 productions. In 1924, small puppet groups began to emerge. However, they sometimes dispersed, then reorganized due to the fact that at that time they did not have the status of a theater.
1931 - the beginning of the construction of puppet theaters. In 1934, after the opening (1931) of the S. V. Obraztsov Theater (Moscow), a puppet theater was opened in Kazan on the basis of an ordinary amateur group at the House of Pioneers under the direction of S. M. Merzlyakov.
The basis of the repertoire of the newly created theater was the play "Petrushka the Homeless Child". Soon, the repertoire of this progressive team of energetic, loving young people was replenished with wonderful performances: "The Montgolfier Brothers", "Gosling", "Kashtanka" and many others. The first nationalstaging - fairy tale "Goat and Sheep" (G. Tukay).
In 1937, this puppet theater won the honorary prize at the All-Union Review of Puppet Theaters of the USSR. Kazan has chosen the right path in the cultural education of children.
In 1939, the young promising actor Salah Husni began to head the theater.
In difficult wartime, the situation was aggravated by the fact that the male part of the troupe decreased due to mobilization to the front. Almost all the days of the war, the troupe toured assembly points, performed for evacuated children, traveled around the districts to maintain the morale of people.
Post-war, new victories
Everything was - and the disorder with the room, and tightness. The director of the theater of that time, A. P. Yurusov, nevertheless achieved the premises, and in 1959 a new page was opened in the life of the theater. On this day, the artists showed the audience "Pinocchio".
At the competition of children's plays (All-Russian) in 1962, the play "The Song of Happiness" based on the play by N. Dauli was recognized as the best and awarded the Diploma of the 1st degree. The Puppet Theater (Kazan) demonstrated achievements in its development.
In the 60s, the main director of the theater was I. Moskalev, who began to pay more attention to plays for adults: "The Bold Tale" (about Malchish-Kibalchish), "The Blind Padishah", "The Divine Comedy", etc. The main audience - children - got less.
And so, in 1968, The Little Prince appeared. He changed the idea of dramaturgy for children. It became possible to present children's plays with philosophical content.
At that time, almost completely changedthe leadership of the puppet theater, and the troupe was almost half renewed.
