Puppeteers from Novosibirsk traveled to foreign countries more than once. Performances by M. Suponin “Play with us!” and N. Gernet "Forest Adventures" in Japanese and English. Over the past few years, the theater has taken part in a number of international symposiums, festivals and workshops for puppet groups around the world.

The program "Tales of the Peoples of the World" had a great influence on the policy of the theater. Today, the theater has more than twenty-eight productions in its arsenal. Modern diverse repertoire is not limited to puppet classics. It contains both notes of national drama and shades of works by contemporary authors. A special tone in creativity is set by works of world literature. Wonderful performances based on fascinating fairy tales are staged by the Puppet Theatre. Novosibirsk becomes the secular capital for the children of Siberia.

Waiting for a miracle…

The troupe always remains the main asset of the theatre. Currently, it is made up of professional actors, graduates of Moscow, Yaroslavl, St. Petersburg universities and the Novosibirsk Theater Institute. Many artists have devoted their entire lives to the craft of playing dolls.

Since 1999, when it was donatedNovosibirsk the modern building of the Puppet Theater on Lenin Street, 22, there were performances that are significantly different from the performances of past years. In 2011, another Puppet Theater was opened, on Stanislavsky Street. Novosibirsk (and most of all the inhabitants of its left-bank part) have been waiting for such a joyful event for a long time. Indeed, for such a large city of Siberia, one Puppet Theater is not enough. Tickets for children's performances were out of reach.

Now the children's theater on Stanislavsky is an independent organization with big plans for the future. The collective owes its rapid development to regional puppeteers and its artistic director, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Olga Gushchina.
