For the little spectators, the theater has always been and will forever remain a fabulous world of magical heroes. The puppet theater (Novosibirsk) simply lives, and this is quite a lot. And the goal of the creative team was to convey life as it is seen by the actors: tragic and funny, beautiful and unique. On the one hand, simple - like a glove doll Petrushka, and on the other, complex - like a living human hand that controls it.
The profession of giving fairy tales
1934 for the little inhabitants of Novosibirsk was marked by the opening of the regional Puppet Theatre. The premiere performance was "Petrushka visiting schoolchildren", which was released on May 1. It was based on a play by Regina Landis, who, together with Mikhail Kisets, organized a puppet studio at the Youth Theatre. Later, performances based on Russian classical works began to be staged.
The Puppet Theater valiantly survived the war years. Novosibirsk, like many other cities, has become a haven for evacuated enterprises and organizations. And the Puppet Theater provided its stage to the actors of the Central Puppet Theater Obraztsov. It was the puppeteers of this unique team that had a huge impact on the futureformation of the Novosibirsk children's theater.
The team has never refused to tour. With theatrical performances and concerts, he pleases all the children not only in the Siberian regions, but also in Thailand, Japan, and the USA. Puppeteers from Novosibirsk traveled to foreign countries more than once. Performances by M. Suponin “Play with us!” and N. Gernet "Forest Adventures" in Japanese and English. Over the past few years, the theater has taken part in a number of international symposiums, festivals and workshops for puppet groups around the world.

The Left Bank is also happy
In 2011, another Puppet Theater was opened, on Stanislavsky Street. Novosibirsk (and most of all the inhabitants of its left-bank part) have been waiting for such a joyful event for a long time. Indeed, for such a large city of Siberia, one Puppet Theater is not enough. Tickets for children's performances were out of reach.
Now the children's theater on Stanislavsky is an independent organization with big plans for the future. The collective owes its rapid development to regional puppeteers and its artistic director, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Olga Gushchina.
