The Rostov Puppet Theater named after V. Bylkov is not only one of the best, but also one of the oldest in our country working in this direction.

At the origins of his discovery were such wonderful actors as: S. Isaeva, G. Pidko, S. Ulybashev, M. Kushnarenko, A. Derkach, L. Chubkov and many others.

It was these people who, back in the distant 20s of the 20th century, began to work for children and show them puppet stories. Their performances were very successful and therefore the regional committee of the Komsomol decided to open a theater in 1935.

Performances of Rostov puppeteers make children think about good and evil, about what should be valued in this world.

The puppet theater is actively touring. He travels around the cities of Russia, as well as near and farAbroad.

The actors have already visited: Chisinau, San Remo, Elista, Kharkiv, Cannes, Monte Carlo, Helsinki, Stavropol, Strasbourg, Monaco, Kyiv, Edinburgh, Frankfurt am Main, Vladikavkaz, Barcelona, Krasnodar, Warsaw, Glasgow, Yerevan, Donetsk, Dublin, Astrakhan, Paris, Kajaani, Volgograd, London, Lodz, Moscow, Nice, Sofia, Berlin and so on. In those cities where the troupe travels with their performances, all the performances brought by the puppet theater (Rostov-on-Don) are always held with a large full house. Ticket price for performances, on tour in different cities may vary.

The theater also takes an active part in various festivals of all-Russian and international scale and often becomes a laureate.

Many actors of the Rostov puppet theater have received commendations, diplomas, medals and badges from both the city and region administration, the Ministry of Culture and even the President of Russia himself. Some actors have the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.

Today, guest directors, as well as many contemporary composers and writers, collaborate with the puppet theater.

The nearest plans of the troupe are the creation of productions for an adult audience based on the works: "Romeo and Juliet" and "Faust".
