In 2004, a film full of spectacular fights, stunts and parkour techniques was released to the world cinema distribution from French producers. Filmed over a decade, District 13 is a trilogy that differs from other action films in the realistic filming process.

About the film

The first part of the sensational trilogy gained wide popularity thanks to the initiative of the famous Luc Besson, who produced the film, the author of the films "Taxi", "Leon", "Carrier", "Nikita" and others. He worked in the director's chair of the first "13 district" talented artist Pierre Morel. Having already worked in a similar manner on Yamakashi, screenwriter Luc Besson knew exactly what he wanted to see in the new film. The director took into account all the subtleties of the script. Besson also influenced the development of the second part, which was directed by Patrick Alessandrin.

The plot of the three paintings is very similar in terms of events and issues. The central action takes place in one of the districts of the city of Paris in a future not far from the time of the release of films, in which rampant crime and anarchy rule. The government is trying in every possible way to fight crime in the area, but many efforts are in vain. As a result, the authorities decide to blow up the disadvantaged area. She rose to prominence through her work with Netflix as Elektra Nachios on the television series Daredevil and The Defenders. The second villain was played by the famous French actor and rapper of Cameroonian origin Charles Embousse, whose stage name is MCJeanGab`1.

The role of the main thief and jumper was played by the same David Belle, but already under the name of Leto Dupre. Damian (aka Collier) was played by famous Hollywood actor-superstar of films from the "Fast and the Furious" series Paul Walker. Unfortunately, District 13: Brick Mansions was the actor's last full length project. Five months before the premiere, he dies in a terrible car accident.

The role of Lola was played by a Brazilian actress who already has experience working with Luc Besson in Taxi 4, Catalina Denis.
