The word "composition" comes from the Latin "compositio", which means binding or compiling. Simply put, composition is a way of constructing a picture that determines its perception by the viewer. Any work of fine art has a certain structure corresponding to its plot.

Composition in painting in terms of technology is not an exact concept, since each school of the past had its own techniques and rules for constructing paintings. However, if we analyze the entire field of world fine art, we can identify some objective, universal patterns that underlie any creativity. They in no way depend on the individualities of individual artists, trends and schools. It would be more correct to call them the laws of composition.

Ideology

Composition in the visual arts is, first of all, the focus of the ideological beginning. No drawing, be it a still life or even a portrait or landscape, is a "photographic" copy of a model. Selecting various details and deciding whichhow to place them on the canvas, the artist seeks, first of all, to reflect his own, individual attitude to the chosen plot, his own understanding.

To put it simply, composition in fine art helps to express what exactly interested the painter in the model, and why he decided to depict it. Without this, the picture will become just a handicraft copy, nothing more. Therefore, the presence of a creative, ideological idea when writing is difficult to overestimate.

In order to create real, “live” paintings, having an idea of what composition in fine art is purely technically, the artist must also have a warm heart, mind and be able to think independently and deeply. Simply put, the idea of the picture is not so much in its theme, but in the attitude of the artist to her and even to life in general.

Analysis and intuition

Any artistic creation requires the master to have intuition and the ability to analyze. Composition in the art of painting pictures, its format, means of execution and motive should be established by him only in the process of intuitive movement from content to form. In addition, only by being able to analyze the work created in this way, the painter can make it complete. Moreover, only a test that causes an upsurge of feelings in the master, inspires him, and can move him to an excited and precise completion of the thing can be considered fruitful. Thus, art, starting, perceived and ending in feeling, can only be explained through detailed analysis.

Integrity

Ideological, analysis and intuition are the fundamental principles that distinguish composition in the visual arts. However, perhaps its first law can be considered the integrity of the final product. All elements must be in a certain relationship. Neither color nor form can exist separately from each other. A serious picture can be painted only by discovering the principle of the motive device, its “compositional scheme”, the harmony of the structure created by nature.

All artists go to the goal of writing analyzed, holistic and complete stories in different ways. The main thing in this is the presence of abilities and the desire to develop them.
