Nikolai Pogodin is a talented actor whose star lit up during the existence of the USSR. "Girls", "Youths in the Universe", "Kalina Krasnaya" are the most famous films with the participation of the artist. Nikolai Pogodin can more often be seen in episodic and secondary roles than in the main ones, but even minor characters performed by the actor turn out to be bright and charismatic. What else can be said about this amazing man who passed away in December 2003?
Nikolai Pogodin: childhood
The future artist was born in Istra near Moscow, it happened in November 1930. Nikolai Pogodin was born into a family far from the world of cinema, his mother and father were employees. The boy was only seven years old when he first appeared on the set. The young artist was offered a small role in the film "Gavroche". It was then that Pogodin had a dream to build a career as a film actor.
Nikolai's childhood can hardly be called cloudless. The boy was only ten years old when the war began. Nikolai's family was forced to go through the horrors of the occupation, when in November 1941 enemy troops captured their native Istra for about a month. After the liberation of the city, Nikolai Pogodin moved with his relatives to Dedovsk.
Choosing a Life Path
After graduating from the eight-year-old, the young man entered the Moscow Railway Technical School, choosing the speci alty of an electrical technician. In his speci alty, he did not work even for two years, since the young man did not leave the dream of an acting profession. In 1952, Nikolai Pogodin decided to apply to VGIK, where he entered on the first attempt.
The aspiring artist was lucky with the teachers, he always felt special gratitude to Yuli Raizman, the head of the course. It was this man who helped Pogodin to believe in himself. In his student years, Nikolai was again on the set. He was entrusted with a small role in the military drama "Soldiers", dedicated to the horrors of 1942. In this film, Pogodin embodied the image of Lieutenant Karnaukhov.
First Achievements
Diploma of VGIK Nikolay Nikolayevich received in 1957, after which he joined the troupe of the Film Actor Theater Studio. Pogodin did not betray the creative team that sheltered him for twenty years, but he achieved greater fame as a film actor. After graduating from high school, he began to actively act in films, he always agreed even for episodic roles.
Nikolai Pogodin is an actor whose path to fame began with the roles of the military, mostly officers. So it happened with the melodrama "The City Lights the Lights" directed by Vladimir Vengerov. In this picture, Nikolai embodied the image of a courageous front-linescout Mityasov. His hero, having barely recovered from a serious injury, returns to his native city, where news of the betrayal of his beloved wife, to whom he was in a hurry, falls upon him. It seems to the former front-line soldier that his life has lost its meaning, but he gathers strength and forces himself to fight for his happiness.
In the late 50s, Pogodin managed to star in several more exciting military melodramas, for example, in "Soldier's Heart", "The Sun Shines on Everyone".
Star role
The real fame came to the talented artist only after the release of the picture "Girls". Nikolai Pogodin embodied in this film the image of the accordionist Sasha, who is courting the girl Katya. In his performance, the hero turned out to be bright and cheerful, which appealed to thousands of spectators. Interestingly, it was the cheerful accordion player Alexander who was the first to sing the famous song "Old Maple", which today has already won the status of a folk song.
The "Girls" tape gave the actor Pogodin not only hundreds of new fans, but also a peculiar role. The directors began vying to offer him the roles of cheerful young men, representatives of the working people. The characters of the artist were workers, tractor drivers, accordionists - simple guys who enjoy every minute they live. Mostly his characters were positive. He created similar images in the films We Are the Russian People, Lost, Property of the Republic, With Joy and Courage.
Change roles
Of course, Nikolai Nikolaevich Pogodin did not always play cheerful and optimistic guys. The films in which he starred as an adult are significantly different from the first pictures with his participation. Nikolai was no longer entrusted with the role of accordion players and tractor drivers, he increasingly played high-ranking officials and law enforcement officers.
In the creation of which paintings did Pogodin take part in the 60-70s? For example, fans of the artist can watch "The Diamond Arm" and "The Incorrigible Liar", in these films the actor embodied the images of policemen chasing dangerous criminals. Also of interest is the tape "Kalina Krasnaya", in which Nikolai played the director of a state farm.
Last roles
Nikolai Pogodin is an actor whose biography contains many dark spots. For example, no one knows what exactly made him resign from the Film Actor Theater Studio in 1977. There were rumors about a conflict with the management, but the artist himself did not confirm this information. In 1980, Pogodin began working on the staff of the Gorky film studio, still readily agreeing to episodic roles.
The beginning of the 90s is perhaps the most difficult period in the life of a talented artist. Nikolai, like many of his colleagues, was left practically without a job, he was forced to work odd jobs. Pogodin managed to get a small role only in 1998. He played a minor character in the drama Composition for Victory Day by Sergei Ursulyak. It is interesting that the character of Nikolai plays the button accordion, like many heroes, whose images he embodied inyouth. After filming in "Composition for Victory Day" Pogodin finally gave up on cinema.
Love, family
Nikolai Pogodin is an actor whose personal life has always remained a mystery to fans, as he did not like to discuss this topic with strangers. We can only say that he was married to a woman named Lydia. In 1962, the wife gave the artist a daughter, Elena, his only child. Lydia and Nikolai divorced seven years after the birth of their daughter, the reasons for the separation remained a mystery. The actor's friends claim that he practically did not communicate with his ex-wife, rarely saw Elena.
Death
Pogodin, an actor who throughout his life avoided undue attention to his person, was a modest man. It is not surprising that Nikolai Nikolaevich also left this world imperceptibly. He passed away in December 2003 after a long illness. The cemetery where Pogodin's grave can be found is located in Dedovsk. It was in this city that the talented artist spent most of his life, never aspired to leave it.
