Biography

Mystic's real name is Raven Darkholme. She is a mutant from birth and has the ability to transform. That is, the heroine of "Marvel" Mystic can take the form of absolutely any person. Very little is known about Raven's past. However, we can definitely say that Mystique is from Austria and she is over a hundred years old (probably another mutation effect).

In the 1920s, the heroine "Mavrel" Mystique first encountered the Canadian mutant, better known as Wolverine. He was part of a pickpocket team organized by Raven. Soon Mystique and Wolverine became lovers. However, their relationship did not last long. Raven condemned her own crew to certain death, and pushed Wolverine himself out of the train at full speed.

One day the character "Marvel" Mystique takes part in the assassination attempt on a scientist from Berlin. During the mission, Raven meets a mutant named Sabretooth. Passion is kindled between them and they enter into sexual contact. Their relationship lasts until Mystique fakes his own death in order to get rid of an obsessive lover. As it turns out later, Raven is pregnant. She gives birth and gives the child up for adoption. Nevertheless, she continues to monitor her child until she is convinced that the child is not a mutant.

Later, the character "Marvel" Mystique again gave birth to a child named Kurt Wagner, who in the future will become one of the X-Men, nicknamed Nightcrawler. The boy's father was the ancient mutant demon Azazel. When Raven gave birth to a son, his mutation immediately manifested itself in the form of blue wool and a tail. Because of this, the inhabitants of the village where the Mystic was, thought that the mother and child were demons. It is for this reason that they decided to lynch Raven and little Kurt. The villagers cornered the woman with the child. And in order to save herself, she threw her newborn son into the river, and she herself disappeared using her abilities.

Brotherhood of Mutants

Raven was devastated by the loss of her second child. Because of this, she, on the advice of her friend Destiny, decided to adopt a mutant girl named Anna Maria. Mystique actually loved Anna and took care of her for a long time. In parallel with this, Raven worked for one of the stateservices of the United States of America. She quickly rose to the position of deputy in the Agency for Advanced Defense Research and Development. Soon, Raven gathers the so-called Brotherhood of Mutants, which includes Bubble, Destiny, Avalanche and Pyro. Later, Anna Maria, who received the nickname Scoundrel, also joins the brotherhood. However, Anna soon defected to the X-Men, hoping that they would help her master her own mutant powers. The mystic was furious, because the X-men took away the dearest person from her. But soon Raven was able to accept her daughter's decision. Not only that, from time to time Mystique visited Anna at Xavier's estate.

Powers and abilities

Raven is a mutant metamorph. That is, it is able to change its appearance by moving the cells of its own body. Thanks to this, the Mystic is able to take the form of any person. At the same time, his fingerprints, retina, etc. are duplicated. However, the transformation into humans is just flowers. Raven is capable of doing more interesting things. For example, she can move her organs to avoid damage.
