Black Panther is one of the first and most popular black heroes of Marvel comics. Therefore, T'Challa decided to go to America and became part of the Avengers team, enlisting the support of other superheroes.

Upon returning home, T'Challa changed his country's politics and brought it out of isolation. He later married Ororo Monroe, a superheroine with the alias Storm, and for a time they were part of the Fantastic Four together. During another attack by enemies led by Doctor Doom, T'Challa almost died and fell into a deep coma. The mantle of the king was taken over by his sister Shuri, and thus the Black Panther of Marvel Comics changed his face. However, in the fifth part of the comics, T'Challa comes to his senses and returns.
