Robert Miles is a famous Italian musician, DJ and producer. The founder of the dream house style (a genre of electronic music). Private life
Robert Miles (1969–2017) (real name Roberto Concina) was born in Switzerland to Italian immigrants. Since childhood, he was fond of playing the piano, and this determined his future fate. He was greatly influenced by the American music of composers Teddy Pendergrass and Marvin Gaye. Almost nothing is known about the musician's personal life, he carefully concealed all information about himself. It is known for certain that he had a daughter, whom he loved very much. 1988th. The young man begins to work as a DJ in Italian clubs. This occupation allowed the young man not only to earn his first fees, but also to study the musical tastes of the generation. Miles' first official job was as a content manager at an Italian radio station.
1990th. Robert buys used music equipment for his small studio. At the same time, experiments began to create his own music, but his first works were not appreciated by the audience.
1993rd. Miles buys modern musical equipment and signs a contract with producer D. Vanelli. Together they record singles Red Zone and Soundtracks.
1994th. Creative searches were crowned with success, Robert creates the track "Children", which later became the most famous in his biography.
1996th. The composition of Robert Miles "Children" becomes the best single of the year. At the same time, the debut album Dreamland is released. Initially, it did not include the composition One & One with vocalist Maria Nayler, this track appeared a little later in already re-released albums, but it was he who became the most popular among listeners. The song explodes the charts in America and the UK and is published in millions of copies.

"Children" - the story of the creation of a world hit
Robert Miles rose to prominence with the release of the trance single Children in 1995. It was dedicated to children who survived the war in Yugoslavia. The composition was released with a circulation of more than two million copies and quickly topped the charts in many countries around the world, and in England and Germany received platinum status. Only in the first two weeks after the official release of the single, about 400 thousand records were sold throughout Europe.
Two music videos were released with the track "Children". The black and white clip was directed byMatt Amos. Filming took place in London, Geneva, Paris. The second (color) was filmed later. It features Robert Miles as a DJ. The scene with the DJ console is replaced by shots of children playing.

Death of a legendary musician
In 2017, Robert Miles died of cancer at his home on the island of Ibiza at the age of 47. The rapidly developing illness left the musician no chance. As a memory of himself, he left his musical heritage and the composition "Children", which is inscribed in golden letters in the history of world electronic music.
