The founder of the group is Herbert Morales. He is known as the son of the Cuban revolutionary Leopoldo Morales, who was an ally of Che Guevara. Herbert's musical career began with a temporary job with the Heat Protection Committee. In a group from Kaliningrad, he was invited to periodically perform as a guitarist, and he also took part in some recordings at the studio. The songs of "Ja Division" are the basis of Rastafarianism in Russia.
