History of Creation

In 1978, in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg), several talented musicians created a group. Its name has changed several times. And only by the mid-80s the guys chose the final version - "Auktyon". During this time, many good songs were written. It only remained to present them to the general public.

First steps on stage

In 1986, the rock group "Auktyon" appeared in the program "Come back to Sorrento". The children performed several songs. After that, all of Leningrad learned about them. Songs such as "She-Wolf", "Wonderful Evening" and "Book of Accounts for Life" have become popular with young people.

Soon the band pleased their fans with the release of the live album "D'Observer". Why did the album get such a strange name? Everything is very simple. This is just an abbreviation for "DK Pulkovo Observatory". It was there that the band's concert took place. Some of the songs from the first album were transferred to the second. The new record was called "All is Quiet in Baghdad".

Career development

"Auktyon" is a musical group whose songs abound in politically incorrect expressions. But that's exactly what makes her special.

The guys performed not only in Russia, but also far beyond its borders. They often traveled to Germany, Italy and the USA. The album How I Became a Traitor was partially recorded at a studio in France. When listening to such compositions as “Liza” and “My Evening”, you are mentally transported to Nevsky Prospekt, lightly covered with snow. And you immediately understand how much the musicians missed their homeland.

In 1990, the Auction group presented their new work, the album Ass, to the audience. However, the record went on sale with a more politically correct name - "Duplo". The song of the group "Auktyon" "Airplane" almost became the anthem of the Soviet youth.

Conquest of new peaks

In 1991, our heroes recorded the album "Hangover". After the release of this record, a new wave of popularity hit the group. The guys worked not only on the quality of the music, but also on the semantic meaning of the texts. Listening to "Victory Day", it is impossible to stand still. Your feet will lift you up into the air. Tears of joy and pride for the great country that defeated fascism appear on the face. The album also features a song that is perfect in its essence - “Winter”. And the composition "F-fa” drives you crazy from the very first notes (in the good sense of the word). The band's fans praised the amazing music and well-chosen lyrics.

In 1992, the team began to collaborate with the legendary Alexei Khvostenko. He is the author of the song "Golden City". This composition was brilliantly performed by Boris Grebenshchikov. What did the "Auktyon" get? St. Petersburg musicians recorded "The Teapot of Wine". When listening to this song, one gets the feeling that it was created by one of the participants of the "Auktyon". But it's not. The text belongs to A. Khvostenko. Petersburg musicians knowingly chose him as a companion. After all, they are close to the work of this man.

The album "Bird", released in 1993, completely turned public opinion about our heroes. If earlier the Auction group focused on a narrow circle of listeners, now everything has changed. Songs such as "The Road", "It's Not Too Late" and "My Love" can be appreciated by people of different age categories and musical tastes.

For almost two years the team was in a creative crisis. There was a shortage of literate texts with deep meaning. The difficult situation in the country also made itself felt. The situation was saved by Leonid Fedorov's acquaintance with the poetry of V. Khlebnikov.

With the album "Resident of the Peaks" (1995), the group gained even more fans. It is impossible to single out specific songs. Indeed, in this case they are perceived as something single, indivisible.

In subsequent years, the band continued to record albums, perform at the largest venues in Moscow and St. Petersburg, as well as tour Europeancountries.
