History

The date of birth of the theater is February 10, 1937, when the first children's puppet show "Pushkin's Tales" was held on the stage of the Tula Youth Theater. The initiator of its production was the artist Chekov N. P. and actress Lisovskaya N. A. The troupe initially did not have its own premises. The actors performed on the stages of various institutions. But in 1964year, the city authorities gave the theater an old building, where it is located today.
