More than 35 years have passed since the release of the film "Treasure Island". Over the years, the adventure film managed to win the hearts of millions of viewers, and those who fell in love with it back in their school years sent their children, and even grandchildren, to school long ago. But what happened to the actors of the film "Treasure Island" after the success of the film?

The main roles in "Treasure Island" were played by actors who were quite experienced and famous at that time. Some of them were already well-deserved artists at the time of filming.

Oleg Borisov

In "Treasure Island" actor Oleg Borisov played a key role - the pirate John Silver. This hero is cunning and smart, and also wants to take possession of the treasures that are hidden on the island. To achieve his goal, Silver pretends to be a cook (cook) on the ship of young Jim Hawkins and his friends Dr. Livsia and Squire Trelawny. Thus began the dangerous and adventurous journey of the ship's crew, along with the pirate.

The actor himself for hislife played in more than a hundred projects. For creative achievements he was awarded the title of the Soviet, and then the Russian title of People's Artist. He was considered a master of artistic expression and was awarded two USSR State Prizes in 1978 and 1991. Acting in cinema, thanks to which he became famous and in demand, the artist began in 1955. The following films are considered the most successful projects of the actor: "Chasing Two Hares", "Servant" (1988), "Luna Park", "Thunderstorm over Russia", "Treasure Island".

The actor was ill for 16 years, but, nevertheless, he continued to shoot in films and play in performances. Borisov's last film was the film "I'm bored, demon" in 1993.

Oleg Borisov passed away on April 28, 1994. The cause of death was chronic lymphocytic leukemia. In memory of him, in 2004, a memorial plaque was installed in the house where he lived for the last ten years. In Kyiv, on Andreevsky Spusk, there is a monument to the main characters of the film "Chasing Two Hares" - here Borisov is depicted as Golokhvosty.

Nikolai Karachentsev

The actor in "Treasure Island" played the pirate Black Dog. Actually, the character of Karachentsev was not in the novel by R. L. Stevenson, on which the film was made. The dog was introduced by screenwriters for the brightness of the events depicted.

Nikolai was awarded the title "People's Artist of the RSFSR" (1989), was a laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation (2003). Also, the actor was recognized as an academician of the Russian Academy of CinematographicArts "Nika". During his lifetime, Karachentsev played more than 150 characters in films. The most famous and memorable viewers were his roles in the films: "The Adventures of Electronics", "12 Chairs", "Dog in the Manger" and many others.

The actor's life was turned upside down by a car accident he got into on the night of February 28, 2005. As a result, severe injuries, coma, speech pathology, which is unacceptable for an actor, and a long rehabilitation process. Then Karachentsev for some period moved with the help of a wheelchair. On February 27, 2017, the actor again had an accident, this time his wife, a relative and a nurse were also in the car. In September, the actor was diagnosed with an inoperable cancerous tumor in his left lung. The actor died on October 26, 2018 in the intensive care unit of the sixty-second oncological hospital in Moscow the day before his 74th birthday.

Fyodor Stukov

In "Treasure Island" the actor played Jim Hawkins - the youngest hero of the film.

Stukov was mainly known when he was still small as a performer of children's roles. Many of the audience remembers him as a curly red-haired boy in the role of Tom Sawyer in the film "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn." Since the 2000s, Fedor Stukov has hardly acted in film, but he has become a successful director. He staged such Russian series as "Fizruk", which became one of the most popular projects on domestic television, "The Eighties" (all parts) and several other television films. In addition, he wrote scriptsto his film "Adaptation" and to the short film "From the Life of a Doctor".

Vladislav Strzhelchik

In the film "Treasure Island" (1982), the actor played the role of Squire Trelawney. In life, Vladislav was awarded the titles:

• "Honored Artist of the RSFSR" (1954);
• "People's Artist of the RSFSR" (1965);
• "People's Artist of the USSR" (1974).

Strezhelchik started filming with a cameo role in the movie "Mashenka" in 1942. He was engaged in pedagogical activity in 1959-1968. With age, I began to forget the text during the rehearsals of performances, so I decided to leave the stage. Passed away on September 11, 1995 after a long battle with a brain tumor.
