You have to give him credit. He did not remain in the shadow of his brother, but worked hard and built his successful acting career. As evidence of this - an impressive collection of films, several awards and great prospects for the future. What can I say, Affleck Casey is on his heels. It remains to be seen where he started his journey.
Biography
Affleck Casey (there is a photo in the article) was born in 1975 in Falmouth (Massachusetts). His mother was a teacher, and his father changed many professions. He was a mechanic, a pharmacist, a social worker and even acted on stage.
Casey first studied at George Washington University, but then transferred to New York Columbia University, where he studied astronomy, philosophy and physics. But he did not finish it either, he decided to start an acting career, like his famous older brother, Ben Affleck.
Start off
Besides the hit TV show Saturday Night Live, Affleck Casey's first film was Lemon Sky.(1988). After the mini-series "Kennedy of Massachusetts" (1990), he was invited to star in the crime drama "To Die in the Name" (1995) about the model Susan, who is ready for the most insidious deeds for the sake of a TV star career. Then came the adventure film Chasing the Sun (1996), starring Halle Berry and James Belushi. A year later, he and his brother appeared in the drama Good Will Hunting, which tells the story of a genius boy from Boston.
When Morgan J. Freeman was about to shoot Desert Sadness (1998), he cast Casey Affleck in the lead role to play an academic who was obsessed with roadside attractions. After that, an offer was received to star in the comedy "Insanely Faithful Wife" (2000), and almost immediately - in the thriller "Immortal Souls" (2001) with Eliza Dushku.
In 2001, Affleck Casey starred in the thieves' comedy Ocean's Eleven, and then ended up in the next two parts. In the crime drama How the Cowardly Robert Ford Killed Jesse James, the actor got the role of the cowardly Ford. And in the thriller Goodbye Baby Goodbye, he played one of the detectives investigating the kidnapping of a little girl.
More to come
Starting in 2010, the acting career begins to gain momentum. The roles that Casey Affleck gets are getting better. Films with his participation are more interesting. In the dramatic thriller The Killer Inside Me (2010), he again plays a character named Ford, but not cowardly, but dangerous. In the comedy How to Steal a Skyscraper (2011), the actor is on the teamBen Stiller, who is about to get her retirement savings back.
Together with Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway, Casey Affleck appears in the sci-fi drama Interstellar (2014). And a year after that - in the drama "Manchester by the Sea", for which he received three nominations for the award for best male role. Among the latest works, films released in 2016 are noted: “And the Storm Came” and “Three Nines”. Admittedly, Affleck Jr.'s filming schedule is still overloaded. After all, several more projects are being prepared for release, where Casey Affleck will get the main role. Films with him, at least many of them, are worthy of those in which his older brother is filmed. Let's take a closer look at some of them.
Goodbye baby, goodbye
In Ben Affleck's crime drama, the actor played private detective Patrick Kenzie, who with his partner takes on a very complicated case. A four-year-old girl is kidnapped from a dysfunctional family. The police are inactive, and then her aunt turns to the detectives.
They get down to business without much enthusiasm, because everyone around, except for relatives, believes that the child is already dead. But there are circumstances that make them take the search more seriously. After all, not only the life of a little girl is now at stake, but also their own destinies.

Manchester by the Sea
This picture won many awards in its time. And most of them received Casey Affleck. Films where an actor plays a dramatic character have always been rated well. Lee Chandler left his home a long time ago and now works as a locksmith in Boston. He is a closed and unsociable person, rarely leaves the apartment, and if he does, it is only to the bar to wave a couple of glasses of local liquor.
But one day his life changes. Lee receives word that his brother has passed away from a heart attack. Now he will have to return to his hometown. But not only to take care of the funeral, but to fulfill the last request of a relative - to take care of his minor son Patrick.
And the storm came
In 1953, American Bernard Webber served in the Coast Guard near the American town of Chatham. There is very little left before he meets his girlfriend and proposes to her. But a raging storm abruptly changes his plans.
On the shore they receive a signal that the oil tanker "Pendleton" is wrecked somewhere nearby. The ship has split in half and the crew is doing everything to keep their part afloat. The chief of the coast guard sends a rescue team, of which Bernard becomes one of the members. The guys go to the crash site, although they are not sure if they can return.
Private life
In 2006, Affleck Casey married Summer Phoenix, with whom he had previously lived for six years. They now have two children, August and Atticus. But the couple is not together. After ten years of marriage, they had relationship problems. They tried to keep them together with the help of a family counselor, but ended up parting on friendly terms.
