The best science fiction writer in Russia, according to millions of readers. Few people can compare with him among his contemporaries, and if they can, like, for example, the same Viktor Pelevin or Vladimir Vasiliev, this does not in the least belittle his merits. Rather, it is about the fact that equals stand on the same level, and do not compete with each other.

Author who writes in an adult way about children and with humor about adults. The creator of the "Patrols" and the cult "Deeptown". All this is Sergey Lukyanenko. The writer's books are being swept off the shelves even today, when most people prefer electronic versions of their favorite works. And fans follow the release of new products from the author, knowing for sure that this will be a book worthy of attention.

Short biography

How good it is that in Russia there is one less psychiatrist and one more writer. Sergey Lukyanenko studied at the Medical Institute in Almaty as a therapist. Later he specialized as a psychiatrist. But fortunately, a year after his studies, he began working as a deputy editor-in-chief in a local magazine aboutfantasy. As an author, Sergey Lukyanenko took place in 1988, when his story "Violation" appeared in the magazine. Since 1997, all the works of the writer have been printed, although there is information that some of the early works have never been published.

Sergey Lukyaneko is married, he lives permanently in Moscow with his wife and three children - Artemy, Daniil and Nadezhda. Keeps pets - a family of Yorkshire terriers.

The writer annually participates in festivals, congresses and conferences dedicated to science fiction, and with enviable regularity becomes the winner of various awards.

Popular series

What can Sergey Lukyanenko offer the reader? Books are now being released in series - this encourages you to buy new items with your favorite characters again and again. But the writer, unlike many other authors, does not release large series - he, as a rule, has from 2 to 4 books combined in one topic. The exception is "Patrols", there are already 11 of them, but there are many works in co-authorship. The writer can be forgiven for this small digression, since all his books are independent, complete works. Even if events in the next book pick up exactly where they left off in the previous one, the last one had a logical ending with seven plot threads tied together, and not a rough stump in the middle of an epic battle.

Sergey Lukyanenko has created many different series, but the best among them are "Patrols" and "Labyrinth of Reflections". But lovers of good fictionfamiliar with others: "Work on Errors", "Trix", "Genome", "Island of Rus", "Sky Seekers", "Stars are Cold Toys", "Lord from Planet Earth", "Dream Line".

The best works of Sergei Lukyanenko

Sergey Lukyanenko also wrote several single novels, as well as many short stories and short stories. Let's talk about those that readers remember:

  1. Spectrum is an amazing book about traveling through different worlds. Seven colors, seven planets and seven versions of the same girl, and each one dies in front of the main character. But maybe he still has time…
  2. "No Time for Dragons" - a masterpiece co-authored with Nick Perumov, classic fantasy. I would like to show this book to all the graphomaniacs who are trying to write something about the "hit".
  3. "Beyond the forest, where is the vile enemy…" - this story could be told as a joke if it weren't so sad.
  4. "L means people" - easy to read for everyone.

These are my favorite books, but you can read absolutely everything by Lukyaneko.

Cinema

Everyone knows about the adaptation of the Watches: in 2004, Night Watch was released, and in 2006, Day Watch. Both films were directed by Timur Bekmambetov, and both parts were successful. Few people have heard of another film adaptation, we are talking about the film “Aziris Nuna” based on the joint work of Yuli Burkin and Sergey Lukyanenko “Today, Mom”. This is a humorous children's fantasy about the adventures of two brothers in the distant future, which Oleg Kompasov tried to recreate on the screen. It turned out not that bad, about 30-40 years ago such a film becamewould be a hit at the box office. But for the modern viewer, low-budget films are of no interest, since they lack special effects and expensive scenery.

Sergey Lukyaneko also reports on other possible film adaptations, but all of them are at the stage of not even projects, but ideas. This is a common problem for all science fiction writers: in order for the works to play in a new way in the cinema format, serious finances are needed. After all, this is not a women's novel, which can be filmed in the same kitchen and bedroom, and not a classic detective story, which requires an old mansion and good actors. In fiction, the wider the scope, the better.

Lukyanenko Sergey: readers' feedback on the author's work

Sometimes it's hard to believe that all these books were written by one person. And the question is not about volumes, as with Daria Dontsova, but about the nature of the work itself. The style in all novels and stories is similar, written equally well, but the books evoke completely different feelings. For example, if you remember "Autumn Visits", then dull hopelessness and some kind of disappointment in life slip through your memory.

But one of the latest books - "Klut", awakens completely different feelings. One gets the impression that it was written by a very well-read and cheerful young man who, with humor, tried to present a very practical approach to life, which would not hurt even a fairy-tale hero. From the story "Train to the Warm Land" I want to cry, hoping that it will never be taken as the basis for a film adaptation.

Probably, this is the difference between a talented writer and a simpleartisan - evoke strong emotions with your creations.

But at the same time, the writer's collection includes classic fantasy with heroes, space fantasy, and battles in virtual reality.

Someone may not like everything that the author offered to the readers. But it seems that such an assortment is much better than the exploitation of a single hero in an endless series, which many modern writers sin.
