Childhood

Olga Tumaikina is a Siberian. She was born in Krasnoyarsk in April 1972. The girl grew up as an inquisitive child. She read a lot and enthusiastically. At school, Russian language and literature were her favorite subjects. In high school they were joined by English and history. She was even sometimes trusted to teach these subjects at school, which filled the girl with pride and joy. Another serious hobby of Olga was the scene. The girl was interested in the history of the theater, especially the Moscow Art Theater.

In high school, Olga Tumaikina was sure that her life would be connected with the stage. Therefore, immediately after graduation, the girl went to conquer the capital.

I must say that no one in Olga's family was connected with creativity. The mother of the future star led trade organizations for many years, her brother is an economist. Therefore, the family reacted to the choice of the girl with surprise and somewhat wary. But at the same time, they did not dissuade her.

Olga failed to get into the Moscow Art Theater School. At the audition, the selection committee was already tired when Olga came in. She was immediately asked what she had prepared. She said: "Tsvetaeva, Chekhov, Dostoevsky, Garcia Lorca." She was asked to read something from Chekhov. And then it was as if a demon had taken possession of the applicant - she really wanted to be naughty, and she began to read Tsvetaeva's text … The joke was not appreciated.

In the Shchukin school, her talent was considered, and the girl was enrolled in the first year.

Work in the theater

College Olga Tumaykina successfully graduated in 1995, and immediately she was accepted into the theater. Vakhtangov. The team quite favorably accepted the young talent. Her debut role was successful. In the cult performance of this theater - "Princess Turandot" - Olga played the role of Adelma. After a short time, actress Olga Tumaykina became the leader in the troupe.
