In such a diverse and theatrical Moscow for more than 25 years (since the time of the USSR) a completely unusual theater has been operating. It differs from the rest in that children serve as actors in it. In this "small state", which is called the Moscow Children's Variety Theater, young artists live together with their teachers, studying and working at the same time. Little actors, completely devoid of everyday experience, see the obvious absolutely directly and share what they see with the audience with the help of music and plasticity. Let's take a closer look at how this unique theater works.
A bit of history
The history of the creation of the Children's Theater on Baumanskaya begins in 1984, when the musical group "Children's World" was first presented to the Moscow public. The original group, which was created by the novice composer V. Ovsyannikov, for the first time showed a professional, ultra-modern children's stage with rich and dense vocals, modern style and bright arrangement of songs. It looked very contrasting compared to the pioneer children's groups and the frankly simple melody of their songs of that time.
By the end of 1989, the team was transformed into the Moscowchildren's variety theater, which soon presents the first musical performance “Tip-Top. First steps . This is followed by many programs in different genres: play, rock opera, musical, show, television musical and others. The theater is the creator of a number of projects (Lyceum, Cinema, 21st Century, etc.), it has recorded more than two dozen audio albums and shot several video clips. Since 1994, the theater has had the status of a state theater.
Theatre today
Currently in MDTE, which is located on Baumanskaya street (near the metro station of the same name), more than four hundred children are trained in four departments (vocal, choreographic, theater and preparatory). Thanks to the original teaching methods and the professionalism of the teaching staff, students achieve excellent creative results in a short time.
Moscow Children's Variety Theater has prepared a galaxy of artists of different genres. Thanks to him, the audience learned about Polina Gagarina, Svetlana Svetikova, Elena Perova, Olga Litvinova, Anna Levanova, Karina Mishulina and others.
