About the theater

The musical theater "Aquamarine" began its creative life in 2012. The first performance - "Kashtanka" by A. P. Chekhov. Artistic director is Nina Chusova.

"Aquamarine" is a mixture of music, circus and theater. There are good stories here. As soon as you cross the threshold of this wonderful place, miracles immediately begin. Before the performances, as well as during the intermission and at the end of the action, children are greeted by funny characters from their favorite fairy tales, with whom they can play interesting games and take pictures. Also, the guys are waiting for free ice cream, a sea of balloons, attractions, face painting, sweets and the real Kingdom of Crooked Mirrors.

The Aquamarine Theater is a hall designed for 591 spectators, it is cozy and has a good lift, thanks to which everything that happens on the stage will be perfectly visible from any place. Armchairs are equipped with special pillows for small children.visitors. The theater website has an interactive layout of the hall. On it you can see how the scene will be seen from the selected location. It is very comfortable. There is a cafe in the theater where you can drink aromatic tea or coffee, as well as have a bite to eat with delicious sandwiches, cakes, popcorn, feast on cotton candy and, of course, ice cream.

Artists and creative team

"Aquamarine" is a large creative team, in which both big and small theater and circus artists work. The musical "Treasure Island" employs 48 people, seven of them are the most talented boys playing Jim Hawkins. Each role is played by several actors in turn.

Artistic Director Nina Chusova served as an actress in the theater of the city of Samara, then received her second education as a director. After that she worked as a guest director in different cities. She is famous for being the acting teacher of the 7th season of the popular TV show "Star Factory", as well as the chief director of the 18th Golden Mask awards ceremony.

Yuri Kataev is Nina Chusova's longtime theater partner. In "Aquamarine" he is a director. Kataev was an actor in the Samara theater, then served as an assistant director at the Mossovet Theater and the Theater of Nations, taught acting and stage movement at the Academy of Culture of the city of Samara. He has collaborated with Nina Chusova as a plastic director since 2006.

The authors of the songs for the productions are VladislavMalenko and Alexey Mironov. The latter takes part in performances as an artist. Vladislav Malenko is an actor by education. He served at the Taganka Theater, and is also the host and author of such popular television programs as “Up to 16 and older …” (Channel One), “Dolls” (NTV), “Serving Russia” (Star) and so on. Repeatedly awarded medals of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Defense.

This creative team also includes stage designer Oleg Dobrovan, production designer Vladimir Martirosov, choreographer Natalia Golovkina, costume designer Anastasia Glebova and lighting designer Taras Mikhalevsky.

Repertoire

The Aquamarine Theater has existed for only a few years, so its repertoire is not yet very large. From the productions now on the stage in Broadway mode (daily) there is a musical for children "Treasure Island". In June 2015, another performance will premiere. It will also be a musical, the main roles in it will also be performed by young artists. It's called "The Ballad of a Little Heart". The Ballad of a Little Heart

The musical theater "Aquamarine" is preparing to present in June 2015 the premiere of a new musical for children "The Ballad of a Little Heart". This is a story about two children - Yulia and Alyoshka - who live in an orphanage and expect that one day they will have parents who will love them. The boy and the girl become real friends, they are always ready to lend a helping hand to each other. This is a true story about children's hearts, about angels and colors, about ships and letters, about children's tears and dreams, about happiness and loneliness…
