The well-known film adaptation of the series of books by JK Rowling about the magical adventures of Harry Potter and his friends opens up a fairy-tale world with many interesting characters. The main character has many good allies and, of course, evil enemies, but there is also a man of mystery - Sirius Black. The actor Oldman, who played him, spoke of him that way.

The story of the Animagus Sirius Black

According to legend, he has the magic skill of turning into a dark dog (Black Dog), was a devoted family friend and godfather to Harry, and was also a member of the Order of the Phoenix. When the choice arose of who to be the keeper of the secret of finding the Potter family, Sirius offered himself for this role, but in the end they chose Pettigrew. However, the evil sorcerer Voldemort still found him and his wife and killed them, and only little Harry survived. Animagus Black wanted to take him in to be raised, but Hagrid insisted that the boy go to the Dursley family where he could be safe.

Sirius, in pursuit of justice, still found the mean Pettigrew andtried to avenge him for the death of his best friend, but through deceitful cunning, the traitor eludes the hands of the animagus. Worse, he is unfairly accused and placed in the dungeon of Azkaban. After 12 years, he still manages to escape from prison, meet Harry and his friends, to whom he tells the whole truth. In the fifth part, Sirius Black (actor Oldman) is involved in the battle with Bellatrix Lestrange, who casts a spell, and the animagus disappears forever. Everyone believes that he died, but there are rumors that JK Rowling will begin work on the eighth part of the book, in which Sirius will be resurrected and return again. Who knows…

About Gary Oldman

Baby Gary was born on March 21, 1958 in New Cross, south London. The father was a welder, about whom the actor who played Sirius Black recalled: "… he was constantly drunk, always swearing and left us for another woman …". Onn left them when the boy was 7 years old. His mother, Kathleen Cheriton, was a housewife - as she could, she pulled a family in which, besides him, there were two more sisters - Jackie and Maureen. From the age of 16, as a teenager, he got a job as a salesman in a sports store and at the same time attended the drama lessons of Roger Williams, who revealed the whole cinema world to him. And not in vain, because by the mid-80s of the XX century, young Oldman became one of the best theater actors in England and the owner of several honorary awards.

His debut on the big screen took place in 1986 - in the film "Sid and Nancy", for which he is recognized as the best in the 1985-86 season. In the 90sGary has a serious problem with alcohol, he was even arrested for drunk driving, but he copes with addiction and returns to his fans after rehab. Acts in many famous Hollywood and British films, writes scripts, and directs them himself.

He was married three times, but something did not work out, and his companions left him. Three sons remained from the marriages (Alf, Gulliver and Charlie), whom he constantly takes care of and says: "… we civilize each other." And the famous role of Sirius Black in the adaptation of the Potter saga helped the actor get closer to his guys. Since December 2008, he was married to Alexandra Edenborough, adopted her fourth child, Roberto, but, according to press reports, the couple filed for divorce in 2015.

Hard Times

In 2001, he had a scandalous divorce from his third wife Dona Fiorentino, sons Gulliver and Charlie are their joint children. He met her in 1997 at a session of anonymous alcoholics, when he was undergoing a treatment course to get rid of addiction. Doña was already raising her own daughter Felix and also tried to end the problem of uncontrolled drinking. On this basis, they had a mutual feeling, which resulted in a legal relationship.

Later, the actor recalled that he was bribed by Doña's assurances that she had given up drinking and drugs, but this turned out to be untrue. Gary Oldman managed to overcome his addiction to alcohol, and Doña still continued to aggravate the situation. She was constantly extracting considerable sums from Gary, worse, cheating on him with other men. A tragic incident put an end to their relationship. A frightened Felix runs into the actor's room, screaming that her mother is lying in the bath and not breathing. It was another drug overdose that put an end to their family union.

According to the actor, these are the main advantages that prevented him at one time from being beyond the bounds of the civilized world. Since 2004, in the film "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Askaban" he is Sirius Black. The actor continued acting until 2007, when a film about the Order of the Phoenix was released. In it, according to the scenario, with the help of a magic spell, he is sent irrevocably to the zone of darkness. The actor had a very stressful stage in his life, the children were growing up, and more money was needed, so he agreed.

Gary Oldman has always been distinguished by the veracity of his statements, and when asked about what made him take part in the Potter saga, he said bluntly that he needed money. When others said how great it was to play in this film adaptation, what a wonderful book and so on, his worries were reduced to feeding his children, because at that time he was a single father. At the same time, he did not hide his satisfaction with the fact that for his sons he became none other than the popular Sirius Black. This was good news given his past roles as villains and bad guys.
