There are people who seem to be destined for this or that path from birth. Sometimes it's just a road in the dark, and the unfortunate one wanders, lost somewhere in an unknown space and time, not finding himself in life.

And it also happens that the clouds suddenly open up, and a bright sunbeam illuminates the path of this chosen one. Yes, and leads him throughout his life.

Childhood of the artist

Viktor Krivonos was born on May 17, 1946 in post-war Lvov, almost two years after it was liberated from Nazi invaders.

The times were harsh. Just during this period, in search of salvation from starvation, thousands of refugees arrived in the city and its environs every day, filling the forecourt and streets. Few of the inhabitants of Lvov were able to help them. The country was just beginning to recover from a painful war. Everyone was starving. Unfortunate, half-dead people wandered the streets of the centuries-old city and begged for food. Manythey died here.

This is how the world opened up for the boy Viti.

His father worked on the railroad. He disappeared all the time at work and was rarely at home, so the mother, a wonderful hostess and a skilled embroiderer of patterned Ukrainian scarves, was mainly involved in raising her son.

According to the memoirs of the artist himself, one of the brightest emotional shocks of his childhood was the frequent spanking that his mother did in fear that her son would go some wrong way. Only over the years did Victor realize that his mother was doing everything right. Boys are born like that - in order to explain to them once and for all what is good and what is bad, you need to act with the most effective methods.

The horrors of the consequences of the war seen in childhood and the mixture of Polish and Ukrainian blood that flows in the veins, inherited from the parents, gave rise to a maximalist in everything in the future artist, who tried not to lose to anyone from an early age.

Youth

The country came to life. The hometown of Viktor Krivonos was actively reviving. Residential buildings, educational institutions and hospitals were built. Such future industrial giants as the Lviv Bus Plant and the Forklift Plant, the Tank and Aircraft Repair Plants began their formation.

The city urgently needed workers, and our hero, immediately after graduating from high school, worked for about a year as an auxiliary worker, first at the Lvovkhimselkhozmash production association, which produces machines and mechanisms for agriculture, and then at Lvovlight bulb factory.

While still at school, Victor realized that he wanted to become an actor. After an unsuccessful attempt to enter the theater university in Kyiv, he went to conquer the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography.

Youth

The biography of Viktor Krivonos continued in Leningrad, where the impetuous young man, who at first was going to connect his life with the dramatic direction of theatrical art, was sent by teachers to the department of musical comedy due to his outstanding vocal abilities and striking appearance. At first, the young man refused, considering this genre not serious enough, but life put everything in its place.

After graduating from the theater institute, Viktor in 1968 got a job at the Leningrad Theater of Musical Comedy, where he played both classical and modern roles. However, the main role of the artist was the images of heroes-lovers.

Army

After graduating from the Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography in 1970, unexpectedly for himself, the aspiring artist was drafted into the army.

By that time, Victor had already worked in the theater for about three years and, serving the arts, frankly hoped that he would not serve his homeland. But during the draft board, the young man came across an extremely principled major, and no matter how the personnel department of the Musical Comedy Theater tried to achieve at least his direction in the Leningrad Song and Dance Ensemble of the Soviet Army, the biography of the actorViktor Krivonos was replenished with military service. He was sent to Moscow, to the internal troops.

The actor recalled that time with a smile:

When everyone was dressed in the same military uniform, I completely lost myself: “Where did the uniqueness of my personality go?”…

Victor was used to the fact that training at the theater institute was aimed primarily at educating the originality of each actor. Here, in the army, he, like everyone else, simply became in line and disappeared. What tormented him very much at the first time of the service.

However, everything soon changed when the leadership began to find out from the young fighters who had arrived what talents or skills they had.

Soldier Krivonos sang and immediately went to the garrison House of Officers, where, by and large, he spent his service in constant performances.

Singing guitars

In the 70s, Viktor Krivonos became interested in pop and rock music, and in 1974 he became a soloist of the Singing Guitars VIA.

Once, after another performance, he was introduced to a young Leningrad composer, Valery Arzumanov, who dreams of creating a real rock band in which Victor would be the vocalist. Of course, the music of VIA "Singing Guitars" could not at all be considered rock in the form in which we all know it now. However, back in 1970, even such fresh trends were perceived as something bold and very daring.

Krivonos agreed. In rock, he, an operetta performer, of course, understood little, but after participating in"Singing guitars" passion for this music kept for life. They played Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and The Beatles in the houses of culture, went to some obscure concerts. Then came popularity, fame and money.

About his involvement in the VIA "Singing Guitars" Victor always speaks with great pleasure. As he himself said, it was a thrill. Although short-lived - an unforgettable six months, which gave Krivonos wonderful friendly relations with its participants and invaluable experience that came in handy in his further song and theater career.

Maturity

Passion for the theater still won. Less than a year later, he returned from the "Singing Guitars" back. Victor then again made an attempt to leave the Leningrad Theater of Musical Comedy, this time moving to the Moscow Operetta Theater in 1980. However, he returned from the capital back two years later.

In 1982, the throwing of Viktor Krivonos ended. The artist settled in Leningrad. In 1987, he continued his singing career at Lenconcert, performing in various operas as part of a chamber troupe, as well as in the pop genre, performing songs by famous Soviet composers in such music festivals and television projects as the once popular Wider Circle and Song year.

Besides this, Victor managed to combine his singing career with work at the Musical Comedy Theater, continuing to play in musical comedies and musicals.

As the artist later shared in hismemories:

I worked hard and it's good! Sometimes it's nice to look at your work and say: “It was not bad. It was almost good.”…

Cinema

Soon the whole country saw on television and recognized him as a young talented actor - Viktor Krivonos.

And now, and at that time, not everyone went to the theater, and even more so to the operetta. However, almost everyone had televisions, and now a wave of the first popularity of Victor the film actor swept across the country after the release in 1972 of the TV movie "Tobacco Captain" - a musical historical comedy describing the era of the reign of Peter I.

Then, in 1976, an even greater triumph followed - the famous "Truffaldino from Bergamo" appeared on the screens, in which Victor extremely convincingly played the fiery fiance Silvio. It was in his performance that this hero received genuine lively emotions - wild eyes and lips stretched out into a pipe, expressive actions and childish resentment. While working on the role of Silvio, Krivonos always remembered the instructions of one wise actor:

"Everything is fine, but you must remember that counts and princes also went to the potty." Ever since then, when I was playing "frock heroes", I always tried to be a "living person" and not a narcissistic dummy…

There are not so many films by Viktor Krivonos, in which he was lucky enough to appear - only fourteen. However, for each role performed in them, the actor is not ashamed. Even when he had to play classical and several decorative operetta characters, the artist always strived for the full disclosure of the image (in the photo - Viktor Krivonos in the series "Stolypin … Unlearned Lessons").

Family

The actor is happily married. In the biography of the personal life of Viktor Krivonos, he was the only person in the theater before the birth of his daughter.

His wife Tatyana, a Muscovite, is an architect. For the sake of her husband, she is ready for anything. She gives him strength, understands and was able to become for him not only a beloved woman and mother of their child, but also the most reliable and devoted friend. This is a wise woman who understands well what it means to be the wife of an actor.

They have been together for over forty years and cannot imagine their lives without each other.

Daughter Daria first followed in her father's footsteps and graduated from the Theater Academy, but then she got married and has been playing the only role in recent years - she is the mother of the artist's beloved granddaughter, Alexandra.

Daria is beautiful and has a wonderful voice. Therefore, before the birth of her child, she often performed with her father on the stage.

Today

Despite the fact that he is now over seventy, Viktor Krivonos continues his active creative work. He's still the sameswift and imposing, as it always was. There's just more gray hair and less hair, but all of his indomitable energy is still with him.

Viktor still performs in musical comedies of the country's academic theaters, goes on tour, gives interviews on radio and television.

Recently there was a meeting of the artists who played the main roles in the TV movie Truffaldino from Bergamo that made them famous (in the photo: Beatrice - Valentina Kosobutskaya, Silvio - Viktor Krivonos, Florindo - Viktor Kostecki, Clarice - Elena Driatskaya).

Each of the former heroes and heroines had different fates and careers.

Viktor himself considers himself a happy man. His happiness was that he understood quite early what he wanted from life, and rushed along this path, without hesitation and without turning off.

Viktor Antonovich learned to gratefully accept everything that life gave him, being sure that everything worked out for him exactly as it should have been.
